“Fly fishing and adventure go together like pizza and beer. By nature, an adventure is not defined by some pre-canned success story. Adventure is defined by an unknown outcome. And, as it turns out, the Alaska wilderness is a perfect canvas for genuine adventure and the unexpected.”
The trailer for 100 Miles from @alaskaflyout is now live! Link in our profile 👆👆 We’re stoked to have this pack-raftin’, mouse-chuckin’, whiskey swillin’ Alaskan adventure in the #f3t2018 lineup!
This is one of my last pictures from Alaska. I've been holding onto them so dearly because I'm scared that once I stop posting about them it means this trip will officially be over & I just am not over it yet. Going to Alaska was such an incredible experience and I really feel like it changed my life and view of the world for the best. If you're interested in finding out more about it, you can read all my posts on my blog!

What Makes a Good Aurora Viewing Spot?
- When choosing a location for Aurora viewing, you want to keep a few things in mind to ensure that you are getting the best of the displays and staying comfortable. Over the next three posts @gondwana_ecotours will go over three important qualities to consider.
First, No Light Pollution.
The best places for Aurora viewing are far from the lights of any city or nearby businesses. The darker the area, the more you will be able to see the Northern Lights colorful displays. In Fairbanks there are a number of great lodges outside the city where you can view right on the property. You will want to be at least 15 or 20 miles outside of downtown Fairbanks. Wherever you choose to view from, make sure you stay on well maintained roads because driving in the Alaskan winter is hazardous and you don’t want to get stuck. Stay tuned for more tips in our next posts! Want to learn more now, check out @gondwana_ecotours travel journal on their website with free information.
