Geez I love my job, lunching with the girls #prosperityhlcmegachallenge style, we’ve eliminated alcohol, gluten, dairy, refined sugar and yet we can still have a delicious business feast. Kids sleeping or playing in the background, great convo, plenty of laughs and all with thriving online businesses. Life can be pretty amazing if you choose it to be. Thanks girls. 💚
Sometimes the grind ain’t pretty. There’s nights you don’t get much sleep, there’s moments you wonder if you even know what the heck you’re doing (most the time I don’t 😂), there’s tears, there’s frustrations, there’s balancing work that pays the bills, chasing dreams, BEING A MOM....and then at just the right time you get these little signs on just the right days that let you know you’re on the right track!
This package from Australia came at the most perfect time after such a long few days! My amazing sister @recovery_buddha my heart is overflowing. This package could not have come on a more perfect day! Thank you for being so very thoughtful!! Thank you for shining your light so bright in this world!! Love you so big lady!!! 💜😍❤️😘⭐️🌟✨ #loveeachother#love#guardianangel#postivethoughts
500 days ago I decided to give up something that was bringing me down. Every day since, I’m glad I did. Here’s to a lifetime of living fully, with a clear mind and an open heart. Vulnerability isn’t easy, but most things that transform your life aren’t easy.
Pernah membaca advertisement suatu produk skincare yang menyebutkan ALCOHOL-FREE?
Sudah tahukah apa artinya?
Let's find it out!
#alcoholfree#standards#highstandards#thereisnothingattheend#sobriety#livehowyouwant so I decided nearly 3 months ago that I was going to stop consuming alcohol in all forms. It does nothing for me. And I’ve seen it destroy people I’ve met. And kill one of my best friends. @haf_extracts I will always miss you! And will keep my sobriety in memory of you!! For some alcoholism is the hardest thing to overcome. For me it’s simple. Just don’t drink. And don’t socialize in scenarios that involve alcohol. #untilthenextlife
Do not choose the lesser life.
Do you hear me.
Do you hear me.
Choose the life that is. yours.
The life that is seducing your lungs.
That is dripping down your tongue.

Oh MAN, did this interview completely re-inspire me when it comes to taking care of my body and mind!⠀
Jolene Park’s interest in holistic recovery began when she stopped using alcohol as a way to self-medicate her own anxiety. Jolene started using nutritional and lifestyle pieces to feel better, and drew on her studies in neurotransmitter and nutrient support, the cross addiction between alcohol and sugar, emotional resiliency techniques, and alternative healing, to overcome anxiety and stress:⠀
“There is a sensitivity gene, and people will say: they feel more sensitive, they just take things more personally, and have used alcohol or sugar to buffer that. And it truly is in the physiology, there’s a gene there, and we call it 'the orchid gene'. So if you think of an orchid, it needs a very sensitive environment, that ‘greenhouse’ environment, to thrive…⠀
And the good news is, if that gene is tripped, when we put people back into really supportive, really soothing environments, using some of these techniques we know – with food, with yoga – they actually have a higher plasticity rate in their brain, which means that the brain will adapt and reshape and rewire… So it’s not a matter of ‘Oh, I’m doomed’. NO, there’s incredible hope to bring things back into balance.”⠀
Jolene runs @healthy_discoveries, has a wealth of wellness knowledge, and is truly passionate about sharing these holistic tools with others. Join us as we talk about regulating cravings, gut healing (and why it’s crucial), and changing our brain chemistry…⠀
“Three of my favourite things to regulate that fight/flight/freeze response that’s stuck on ‘on’ in the brain, don’t cost anything. The first is some form of focused breath work… ⠀
Writing is really, really powerful. When we’re talking, we don’t get to that part of the brain that is holding on to that stress response. It’s in the mid-brain, the emotional and animal part of the brain in the back. But when we write and journal, it unlocks it. It unloops that stress response. ⠀
And movement - particularly in the form of dancing, or really ‘shaking it off’.”⠀

It makes me sad how many wasted nights I spent drinking. Not being able to function, walk without stumbling or remember the night before. Putting something into your body that alters your brain to the point that you black out, is horrifying to me now. I could have easily been one of those numbers. Alcohol is killing us at an alarming rate. As a women I'm concerned with these numbers and how we talk about it. When I see posts like Wine Wednesday or Rose all Day I cringe. I'm not perfect I'm sure I posted something like this in the past. Knowing what I know now these words make me want to cry.

Such a fun morning working with @ciderpresslane and @saleinamariephotography as I prepare to launch a new spin on Marnie Rae in the next few weeks.
And by a “new spin” I mean - let’s get our drinks on! (Non-alcoholic of course)😉
My favorite skincare brand! As everyone knows, a good base is the best thing you can do for a flawless makeup look :) In the last couple years, I have shifted to using more natural products on my skin and @darphin is a great natural skincare line! The Refreshing Toner with Banana Tree Flower has 94% of its ingredients from natural origins and the Hydraskin Rich All-Day Skin Hydrating Cream has 80% of its ingredients from natural origins!! That is so impressive when so many of the products we use are so chemically-based.
The toner is alcohol-free and so gentle on my skin. I only started using toner 4 months ago and it has definitely made a difference. With the amount of heavy makeup I use sometimes, I need this extra step to really remove impurities before I apply my night cream.
The cream contains butterfly lavender and is such a dream to apply. The smell is honestly heavenly and it is so moisturizing - even in this cold and dry weather. •
These are my staples and I hope to be able to use them always! They both are sold at @sephoracanada for $42 and $75 respectively :)
My current location. Sitting inside an infrared sauna. I’m getting ready to sweat it out at 127 degrees Fahrenheit. T-minus 10 days until my TEDx talk.
Last week was an emotionally exhausting week. I’ve been writing, re-writing and rehearsing my talk for a month. Finally, on Thursday night I was like, “I think I finally like my talk, I think I have it to a place that I actually like.” It’s taken a long time to get there.
My sleep has been off and my perfectionist mind has been on overdrive.
I’m used to “workshopping” — talking and presenting for 1-3 hours. Condensing my ‘big idea’ (and figuring out my big idea) in 15 minutes, has stretched me. A lot! I’m tired and relying on my practitioners to keep me running as optimal as possible right now. Chiropractor, somatic coach, Reiki master. And then my immune boosting supplements (infrared sauna being one of those immune supporting, stress reducing tools for me at my chiropractor’s office).
I have no margin/time for getting sick right now. Diffusing aromatherapy at home, a ton of water, walks in the park. This is where the self care rubber meets the road.
Rehearsing and practicing with more friends tonight. Also, let’s talk about my amazing friends who have circled around to listen, support me, and provide so much encouragement this past month. I wouldn’t be anywhere close to where I am with this talk if it weren’t for my inner circle. ❤️🙏
T-minus 10 days...
Thank you to @lakeviewhealth for an incredible weekend. Lakeview Health is one of the best program’s in the country. We had the honor of spending time at their facility & meeting all of their staff. Thank you to Sitara for inviting us! It was a memorable weekend & one we will not forget.
This is one of my most favorite podcasts I’ve ever done, because @spirit.burrito has the world’s best energy & she is so easy to flow with - you know when you meet your people and you fall in love instantly? That’s what happened. We go deep because that’s the only way to go in this truth-telling life. Hope you love it and her and the pod just as much as I do. Xo ❤️

NEW EPISODE ALERT! I had the pleasure of interviewing Lara Frazier aka @sillylara earlier this summer. I found this woman on @instagram and was instantly attracted to her unapologetic passion for sobriety and helping others find sobriety. Every time I check out her instagram and read her stuff I am always so empowered and feel so grateful to be a sober woman myself! .
If you are interested in learning about sobriety, why sobriety rocks and why Lara got sober, have a listen!! We talk about things that people are not talking about on a public level that often. This girl ROCKS!! Thank you, @sillylara for coming on the show! Listen now in @itunes and in my bio link above. xx
A new favourite tipple - a non alcoholic one for a Monday night. 🍹
I'm not a big drinker, in fact more recently I've decided to be almost alcohol free. Me and a little refreshment just don't get on so we had to part company. I appreciate that many people enjoy a drink to wind down, but the you moment you tell someone you don't drink, all of the assumptions come out. Suddenly you become boring, that you can't have a good time, you get side eyes look of 'is she pregnant?'... an all round 'what is wrong with you?'. But I just don't care anymore, as I've never danced so much at parties or wedding (including my own wedding💃) when I'm alcohol free and you wake up fussy head free. Anyway, just because you don't drink doesn't mean you want to slurp Diet Coke all night long, but I've found this beautifully named Damascene Rose Bubbly which is totally delicious but gives you that little sophisticated sip. ☺️ And it looks so pretty.
I’m always amazed by the number of myths out there about alcohol. For example: “A bit of booze is actually good for you.”
“Alcohol helps you deal with stress.”
“Booze before bed helps you sleep.”
“If you're careful, you can outsmart a hangover...”
The list goes on!
If we unconsciously believe these myths, it can make stopping drinking a lot harder. So in this week’s blog post, I’m putting the record straight on some of the dodgy ‘facts’. Because when you know better, you can do better, right?
