#AnotherDayAnotherFilm is 1 year old! 365 days ago we recommended “The Lobster” and that set into motion our goal: to promote great movies that may not have gotten great exposure. If you haven’t noticed already, two cinephiles contribute to ADAF’s daily content. Merve and I have a few words to say about our page’s first anniversary:
From Merve: Over 4 years ago, I first met Jeremy. That day, we talked about cinema for 3 hours in a coffee shop. Immediately after that, we started to recommend films to each other almost everyday. Good or bad, we analyzed and criticized the films over texts. Last year, in 2016, we met for lunch and decided to carry this idea over to an Instagram page. Today is the first anniversary of our #anotherdayanotherfilm page where we share daily film recommendations to over 7000 followers, currently. It has been a great journey and a good motivation to watch films with more attention. We plan on watching more movies and make good recommendations for a second year, a third year, then a fourth... until we run out of movies to watch.
From Jeremy: It’s been a whole year already? They grow up so fast, don’t they? Thanks to our followers and our natural affinity to movies, #adaf has been nothing but a joy. Having this Instagram page pushes me to wade through the endless waves of big budget, mainstream movies and seek out the little gems that may have been set adrift. Tonight’s choices? “Spider-Man: Homecoming” or “Beatriz at Dinner.” Which one will I end up watching first? Stay tuned...
Hi there, Jeff
Listening just got even more hands-off for your listeners. Your podcast #YMPRADIO#YMPmedia is now being syndicated on all Amazon Alexa #devices !
#Amazon Alexa devices, which include #AmazonEcho and Amazon Echo Dot, are #wireless , voice-activated “smart speakers” that #feature a personal assistant voice service named “#Alexa .” Similarly to #Siri , Alexa will carry out the commands you say out loud to it. Current users have been using them to ask for the weather report, access their favorite music, and, most importantly, #tunein to #podcasts .
Now you can take advantage of this smart #technology , too! We at #Spreaker have introduced our 50,000+ catalog of podcasts to Amazon Alexa, and have developed a new #skill that can get your listeners tuning in to your podcast in seconds, no hands required.
Now you can listen to #LaunchCratePodcast episodes on your Amazon #Alexa Devices (Echo, Echo Dot, Echo Show, Echo Plus, Echo Spot)!
Use this link: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0764J52QR to add the Spreaker "skill", then follow the last two steps in our photo (found here). Hurry! A new #podcast episode launches tomorrow...
More experimenting with #Alexa I definitely think @garyvee is right about voice being the future. Ask a question, receive an answer. Saves me the time of looking on my laptop or my phone. I love Siri but compare how Alexa & Siri answered the same question (swipe to see Siri’s response). With Siri, I still need to click on a link to visit a website. Note: I did not add a skill to answer my question. This Echo is straight out of the box. (And in case Gary reads this, yes, I added the #GaryVee 365 flash briefing.)
Nearly 40% of you would leave your smartphone in the backseat now that @Garmin is teaming up with Amazon's #Alexa .
#GarminSpeak will bring directions (and smart home control and voice command shopping and basically anything you can #AskAlexa ) to your car's dashboard. Most of you are into it (36% said you're def buying, 46% are thinking about it), and told us it would change the way you use your phone in the car.
