Many many Diwalis ago, a ten year old you lighted a chakra that girated into a shallow pit near by. As you rushed over to take a look at the flare it created, there it lay unassumingly beside the rotating chakra. The cracker bomb that had refused to burst after you set fire to its abnormally long thread.
Your dad had been looking for it na? So you picked it up, handed it over to your dad and turned back to your chakras when a loud blast from behind you set off a dull ring in your ears. And there your dad stood stupefied, his shirt and hair burnt from a live bomb his potatohead of a son had given him seconds ago.
And you were shocked weren't you? Not by the charcoal covering your dad or his burnt hair or his burnt shirt. You couldn't understand what about the bomb excited your dad so much that he couldn't even wait to set it on the ground before bursting it! 🤦
This is a memory of a loved one of mine that never fails to crack me up. Both dad and son were safe thankfully.
Those of you bursting crackers today, do so safely and may your reasons to not burst crackers outnumber your reasons to indulge in them soon enough.
Wishing all of you a bright and beautiful Diwali loaded with sweets, laughter, music and more sweets 😌. Have a great day 😄
// This partnership was amazing! @jameson_us did it again with this caskmates collaboration with one of the best breweries! @balebreaker brewery sits in the backyard of Yakima in one of its very own hop fields. One of the only breweries to do that! They create such an awesome experience and with the nicest crew on the planet it's rad to see the collaboration between two great companies come to life! #JamesonCaskmates#ad //
So about that night... I was determined to go swimming in the ⛲️but there were 🚓🚓 and spending a night (or morning) in jail didn't sound fun so I decided to get a photo instead. #latergram#trevifountain#rome#italy
Sometimes we all feel like we are on the edge! Feeling like your about to fall off course because difficulties get in the way! We need to somehow find away to block out the difficult stuff so you can embrace the good. I know, it’s hard! Instead of letting Society control whether or not we fall off the edge, take matters into your own hands. Stand as close to the edge as you can without going over, and see all the kinds of things you can’t see from the center.
out of my comfort zone again - posting selfies! today we're going on a scooter adventure exploring the roads that lead out of town. trying to see if we can find some more beauty hidden up in the mountains and rolling hills.
I wanted to quit diving because of a road block in my ability to train. Then I remembered who the hell I am. Remember who you are. You've overcome worse, you can do it again. No paragraphs of inspiration: You can. You will. End of story.
A rather stunningly perfect wedding week shared with our dearest friends and family culminated at a greenhouse in the mountains of New Hampshire. From the dreamy weather and colourful foliage to the monarch butterfly that fluttered above us just as we commenced our vows to the laughter and tears shared in weeklong storytelling and celebrating...we just cant find the words to properly convey these sensory-overload moments and our gratitude.
I spent last week tucked into these adorable cabins learning about the @eddiebauer family, which I'm thrilled to now be part of! I fly fished, hiked and spent hours chatting with a talented group of amazing people. Since we're all about living your own adventure, I'd love to hear what that means for each and every one of you!
