Last night Charlie gave us a scare and we ended up calling 911😱 Last week we were in Ohio for my father-in-laws funeral and we picked up some nasty bug during our travels. Last night Charlie wouldn't eat or drink. I gave him a breathing treatment and then put him in a stream bath. He was pale, hands and feet didn't look good and he was putting his head back. When I took him out, he was shaking so bad.... shivering. And didn't want put down. I thought he was going to pass out. I was worried he had a mucus plug in his small airway. So, we called 911. After we called, I gave him a few puffs of his inhaler. He perked up a bit and we were a bit relived. Charlie spent his first 7 months unstable in the hospital. He coded and I don't like to count how many times he was bagged all night until they could get him to the operating room. He was born with one long, a full tracheal sleeve (extremely narrow airway), hirschprungs disease and an A/v canal defect. Boy, I'm not sure when PTSD from hospital life goes away but last night was not fun. By the time they got here, he was moving good air. So we stayed home. Right after they left he spiked a fever which explained so many of the symptoms we were seeing. Let's hope this strong boy can fight this nasty bug quickly! .
We took Kendall for a little bit of pampering with her 3 cousins this past summer. Cutest thing ever! They got a manicure, make-up and they all got their hair done. Kendall LOVED it! She sat perfectly still for her nails to be painted, puckered up her lips made funny faces for her makeup, and started to get a little wiggly for the hair.
