David Wolfe, a raw food nutrition expert, says that hybrid fruits are often devoid of proper mineral balances and “unnaturally high in sugar.” Another concern is that many of them are incapable of breeding on their own. They must undergo grafting or other methods of cultivation to help the plant propagate. Because these hybridized fruits are so removed from their wild cousins, they are defenseless against predators of all kinds, often victim to microbes in the soil and within your own body, they can contribute to the growth of candida and other harmful bacteria and fungi.
According to Wolfe, eating too much hybridized fruit (and vegetables) causes the body to “bring heavy minerals from the bones into the blood to buffer the hybrid sugar. This hybrid sugar is not completely recognized by the liver and pancreas. The minerals and sugar are spilled off into the urine. Glyphosate, an herbicide and the active ingredient in #Monsanto Co's (MON.N) popular Roundup weed killer, will be added to California's list of chemicals known to cause cancer effective July 7, the state's Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment (OEHHA) said on Monday.
Monsanto vowed to continue its legal fight against the designation, required under a state law known as Proposition65, and called the decision "unwarranted on the basis of science and the law." The listing is the latest legal setback for the seeds and chemicals company, which has faced increasing litigation over glyphosate since the World Health Organization's International Agency for Research on Cancer said that it is "probably carcinogenic" in a controversial ruling in 2015.
Dicamba, a weed killer designed for use with Monsanto's next generation of biotech crops, is under scrutiny in Arkansas after the state's plant board voted last week to ban the chemical.
OEHHA said the designation of glyphosate under Proposition 65 will proceed following an unsuccessful attempt by Monsanto to block the listing in trial court and after requests for stay were denied by a state appellate court and the California's Supreme Court.

American consumers who identify as vegan now comprise six percent of the population, up from only one percent in three years.
A new report entitled “Top Trends in Prepared Foods in 2017” compiled by research firm Global Data found that American consumers who identify as vegan currently make up six percent of the population—an increase of 600 percent since 2014, when only one percent identified as such. Global Data also found that 44 percent of Germans follow a low-meat diet, up from 26 percent in 2014. The report highlighted six key trends in the global prepared foods industry, two of which (categorized as “Go Meat-Free” and “Ethical Eating”) specifically centered around reducing animal products. Global Data’s assessment is in line with recent market predictions that consumers will continue to choose plant-based foods in coming years. By 2020, the global meat alternatives market will be worth $5.2 billion, while the plant-based milk industry is predicted to hit $34 billion by 2024.

Copper is a key mineral in many different body systems. It is central to building strong tissue, maintaining blood volume, and producing energy in your cells.
In the foods we commonly eat, there are only very small amounts of copper. As much as any dietary mineral, the amount of copper you eat is directly related to the amounts of minimally processed plant foods you get every day.
1. Bone and Tissue Integrity
Copper is required to manufacture collagen. When copper deficiency becomes severe, tissue integrity—particularly bones and blood vessels—can begin to break down.
