Been playing with Substance Painter the last few days and getting familiar with what everything does. I still feel like there's a lot of things to play with but I'm starting to feel comfortable with the controls and some of the generators/effects. I've updated the materials and added a general use wear. Feeling good about it so far and going to move onto decals and start adding specific use wear.
It's been a few weeks but I've still been working away at this Double Barrel Grenade Launcher. The low poly and bakes are finally complete with some added normal details painted in Substance. Learned a lot about the new program from their Youtube series!

Practice! I wanted to challenge myself to make some wood planks that were in a pattern as opposed to just horizontal. Followed along with a youtube video from Daniel J.R. GameArt to see how he made a chevron pattern. Off-roaded from there once I got the gist of how he put the planks together. Very pleased with how it turned out. (note: these are just renders from OpenGL. Built it on my little laptop, which can't handle IRay.
