I like making almond butter at home because not only is it significantly cheaper, but I believe almonds more digestible when soaked first (for 12 hours) because this breaks down anti-nutrients such as phytic acid. I then roast them at a low temperature for 1-2 hours. let it cool and blend with some coconut oil and a tablespoon of maple. Tip: make sure you blend a good amount, or it's a nightmare as the blades barely touch the nuts. .
Good source of healthy fats (but be mindful if you have high cholesterol)
