Red Rock Canyon in Nevada... One of the few times Ive ever seen my girls just stand still and drink in the scenery around them... What is the most picturesque location you’ve traveled to with your family?
A little slice of paradise! The North coast of Phu Quoc Island 🌴 has been the perfect place for a few days of relaxation. Our resort is small, with only 30 rooms, and we walk out our front door right into this beach. The water is incredibly calm and warm, and the kids have had a blast swimming, snorkelling and shell collecting. We’re feeling relaxed and rejuvenated, and ready for the next adventure!!
Our F I R S T hike of the year! We hiked through the Superstition Mountains to the Wave Cave. Kids were champs... even without the hiking backpack 🤦♀️. (Never cleaning out my car again 😉) * if you are in the Phoenix area, this hike was moderate. I think my kids did really well because we spent all last summer hiking through Oregon - but people were definitely surprised to see us hiking up with a 3 year old 😳 #ourazbucketlist
It’s always great when the weather 🌨 works in your favor on an adventure. This snow day made for some very fun snowboarding 🏂 on @mammothmountain.⠀
But there are times when the weather just doesn’t cooperate...like when a hurricane 🌪 skirted the coast of Kauai causing days of heavy rains ☔️ keeping us condo bound for days. 🤷🏽♀️⠀
Any of you have stories of when weather worked for 👍🏽 or against you 👎🏽 on one of your adventures? ⠀

Besides swimming and snorkeling, our favorite beach activity during our trip around the Pacific was collecting hermit crabs. (Disclaimer: no hermit crabs were injured and all were released shortly after being captured.) This little guy was found on Two Dollar Beach in American Samoa. #beachtime
Science class on the beach. #almostfearless as we caught a few jelly fishes. The kids squealed in delight. We learned about all the different kinds of jelly fishes. Everyone was relieved to learn the moon jellyfish sting is very mild mild. You can usually touch this jellyfish without feeling a sting. #always learning #agapemicroschools#disruptors#awakeningthegenius
The kids like a good hike if there are plenty of things to do and explore along the way.
We always try to find trails with big rocks, water, or cool places to stop along the way - especially for those longer hikes.
How do you keep your kids excited along the trail?
We’ve been house hunting and the hustle is so intense. Houses get snatched up in minutes of being listed so I’m not joking when I say if we see something we like we have to drop everything to make a move on it. So this has been about the extent of our adventures lately. Albeit an excellent one! #denvernatureandsciencemuseum
On the blog I’m sharing a look back at all my favorite moments from 2017!
It’s a long post filled with lots of fun and adventures. It always surprises me at just how much happens over the course of one year.
Here’s hoping that 2018 is filled with even more fun adventures!
This was probably one of the coolest things we've ever done as a family. None of us are fond of heights so it was definitely out of our comfort zone...always a good thing! Capilano suspension bridge park features the suspension bridge (strong enough to hold 18 tractor trailer trucks or 92 elephants!), the cliff walk (suspended by only 16 cables), the treetop walk (up in the trees between 7 suspension bridges) as well as some more tame adventures on terra firma. Can't recommend enough if you find yourself in the Vancouver area. So proud of our son for getting across the suspension bridge not once but twice! 🙌🏻 it is HIGH! Thanks @themomtrotter for the awesome rec! Hoping to make it back up to Vancouver this summer. 🌞🇨🇦 swipe left!

Death Valley National Park is the largest national park outside of Alaska - and the photos just don't do it justice. The contrasts between 282 feet below sea level in a salt flat to 11,049 feet at snow capped Telescope Peak is unreal.
Progress. Progress. Progress! So exiting! As you can see from pics, most of the furniture is in and was pretty much made from recycled materials. You will notice the bulkhead is still in, but that will come out after we change the status of the van to a camper.... Huge thanks to @antasticuk and his dad for all their help. So stoked to see it finally coming together. Painting Painting Painting tomorrow. (Never been so excited to paint!)
This tour we are on is fantastic, and cost $499 per person, including airfare!! I was skeptical it would be bad, because I am not a huge tour fan in general, but it is truly wonderful. Right now, it is available for $399 including air from Seattle, LAX, Chicago, or NYC. I recommend you grab a partner or friend and go! It is fun, safe, and a life-changing experience for adults and children! The hotels are great, too!! Link is in profile (I get no kickbacks, freebies, or commission; this is my true recommendation). Feel free to ask me questions. #almostfearless @almostfearless

There are so many travel instagram accounts out there with beautiful women wearing beautiful cloths in beautiful locations. I see them and they inspire me to put a little more effort in my outfit for the day. But then I see these photos of me in a plain t-shirt and I remember, yeah that was super comfortable. Especially in the 100 + degree weather walking for miles from temple to temple on dusty paths. Whose with me? Comfort over style? Or have you been able to achieve both?
