It’s getting cold! So I bought a huge, fluffy blanket (yellow, of course) 😊.
I’m also trying to convince Julie and Ian -my parents- to let me have another pet, like a guinea pig or a little bunny rabbit. I got Percy (my snake) because I needed motivation and companionship. My clinical depression makes me lack motivation to get up and feed myself, shower and take my medication; I don’t care about looking after myself during a depressive episode, but I still care very much about Percy’s well-being, so his needs motivate me to get out of bed. It’s also incredibly rewarding to watch him grow and be healthy because of my hard work. I really want another pet to look after- Julie won’t let me get a second snake, so I’d be perfectly happy with a bunny or a guinea pig (like I said before). I want to keep motivated and looking after another living animal just makes me so much happier and less lonely. Percy is really easy to look after as I only feed and clean him once every two weeks, but another pet would need more attention. I dunno, I just have lots of love to give with not many people to give it to, so why not get loads of pets? 😅.
