Vraiment. Moi, j'y crois. #handsaway @trophywifebarbie (thanks for the pic' 😘) #harcelement#lire#ecrire#ecriture#writersofinstagram#write#writers#writer#amwriting#writerscommunity#book#minuitmoinstrois
Purchased a new book from my to be read list yesterday. It's this book called "Kærlighed gennem tid og rum", in Danish, written by Nora Roberts, and I cannot wait to read it! The cover is so pretty and romantic. And the description of the book caught my interest right away.
Have you read any of Nora Roberts' books? Did you enjoy them? 😊
Comment below and let me know.
I was also super thrilled to find myself in a bookstore filled with all the special edition books from the Harry Potter universe. Just look at the beautiful collection of every single version of the 20th anniversary edition of "Harry Potter And The Philosopher's Stone". Truly an extraordinary book section 😍
Thanks to everyone who's pre-ordered The Proper Care & Feeding of Singles! It's currently ranked #14 on Amazon under Pastoral Resources. That's great, because it puts the book on the first page of search results in that category and makes it more discoverable. #writing#amwriting#newrelease#books#bookstagram
It's so funny when you're about to leave a place, you start looking at everything differently. You start appreciating and basking in it more. .
I've been moving slowly all week just staring at my surroundings with Dewey, grasping mental pictures of what we do and see to hold onto before we move. It's bittersweet. It's interesting. It's fascinating emotionally that even though we can love, appreciate and cherish something like people or stuff or our surroundings we see everyday and are used to, when we aren't going to see it daily we wonder how we could have appreciated it even more.
That's how I feel. Could I have been kinder and more grateful and honestly that questioning doesn't serve me because everything I did and felt at the times I did it was perfect.
You can change it. You grow from it. You expand and learn from it. That ultimately transforms how you feel towards it. You forgive it and love it and accept it and appreciate it differently with new eyes created from those old experiences. That is transformation. That is healing. That is real love.🌿🌾
I learned a technique a few weeks ago that is helping me in so many different ways. ❤️
It was introduced to me as a holistic #money#release meditation. 💵
I found it’s far more than that. 🙏🏾
It’s a thought guiding exercise. Negative thoughts, painful thoughts, hurtful thoughts, thoughts that are not useful, confusing thoughts, hateful thoughts, unhappy thoughts, worrisome thoughts, thoughts of insecurity, doubtful thoughts, shameful thoughts, limited belief thoughts. 🙏🏾
1. Allow yourself to feel the negative thought.
2. Quickly change it to a better thought.
3. Notice how and where your body reacts to the negative thought.
4. Notice how and where your body reacts to the better thought.
5. Go back and forth from negative thought to better thought.
6. Try it throughout the day. 👊🏽👍🏾🙏🏾
I’ll also say that sometimes we forget to just breathe. I never noticed how tense I was, even though I meditate/pray everyday, until I did this exercise. 🙏🏾❤️
What are the benefits of actually FEELING your emotions and REACHING for something that feels better?
More relaxed, less stressed, and gives hope. Then there are other magical things going on behind the scene to bring more of the better feeling things into your life. 😇🙌🏾🙏🏾

As you do your time budget today, take some time to see what might be missing, what is taking up most of your time, and if what you’re doing throughout the day matches the goals you’ve set for yourself. Or maybe you’ll realize that in this particular season, what you WISH you could be doing just doesn’t fit with what you HAVE to do. #write31days#holyhustle
Hey! Did you know I sometimes write about farming? I spoke to American Farmland Trust and the Women, Food, and Agriculture network for a Country Guide article about women-owned farmland in the U.S. (short sidebar about Canada, our numbers are not as detailed). T O D A Y 'S ❣️ C H A L L E N G E : Don't complain about anything! Not the weather. Not your commute (especially if you're living in NYC). Not your job. Not your spouse. Not your children. No complaining about A N Y T H I N G! 👉🏾 Truth is, whatever you're complaining about, someone is out there praying and believing God to manifest in their lives. Tag a friend below who can keep you accountable. Maybe, they'll join in as well! ⚢💪🏾
Finished! Second major edit of Sam Spallucci: Dark Justice. Now to rest before diving through and titivating. In the meantime, here's a little spoiler for you. Who can guess who Sam is talking to? #amwriting

WHY I WRITE ROMANCE
So without further ado. Here is why I write romance:
Ever since I’ve been a kid I have thought in terms of romance. I dreamed every night for years about my future romances, I played massive love stories with my dolls and even my marbles. My sister and I used to play hero saves heroine games. I used to read the romances in our local magazine every week. But yet writing romance was never on my mind.
My first novella wasn’t a romance. But it talked about a past romance. It was more women mystery fiction.
After that I wrote a lot of short stories that I never classified as romances. It was always crime, suspense or drama. But soon I looked back and realized all of those stories included a romance.
I bought a book, a wonderful guide called “Romancing The Beat” that showed me how to outline a romance. I put my own spin on it and started writing romance short stories.
Honestly, it was a lightbulb moment for me. It felt so right. I thought to myself, “This is what I’m supposed to do.” I’ve gotten many ideas since then. And each time I had one that wasn’t initially a romance it turned into one (like the one I’m writing now)
Romance writing was the perfect fit for me. But you will find your genre or genres (you can write more than one) that will work for you.
Good luck in your writing endeavours.

I wrote today again. Don't ask me how much I wrote, I have no idea. I've been watching a lot of writing tags videos on Youtube and might do some on here soon. My WIP is currently 9,000 words and something. I'm proud of myself for being so close to completion (finally!) This is my second draft of this story and it was hard work to get through, to keep myself motivated when it felt like it was taking too long. But it's almost done. I still have a few scenes to write.
I felt really discouraged yesterday while reading one of my completed stories. It wasn't the best thing I have written. But I have to realize not all of my writing will always be the best. But that shouldn't mean you're a bad writer or that all your writing is bad. Life would be boring if all our writing came out the same. The important thing is that you're writing and completing stuff. Practice really does make perfect. Or nearly perfect at least.
