This film I saw so many years ago and, once added to Netflix, I decided to watch it again because despite the good reviews from the critics, i remembered it was just decent, nothing more.
watching the film again I liked it and I could see various details that had escaped me and make this common animation film for kids, a good film. For example, I noted that to emphasize the fact that Horton is "different" from the others there are two details that surprised me, for example: every animal species is present at least twice, while the species of Horton, the elephant, besides him no one is seen, this also applies to his friend Morton, furthermore all the animals are hairy while on him the only coat of hair is the clutches in the head, this particular I really liked.
The film also contains various messages including the fact that "if something is not seen, heard or not perceived does not mean that it does not exist" this in a sense can be linked to the idea of the religion of a God who Even if you do not see it exists (obviously according to the believer), another message that you can perceive by watching this film is that "as much as a living being can be small, his life counts as the life of everyone" and this can be for not to discriminate other people simply because they are different. Also in the film there is the concept of accepting that besides us and our world there is someone else.

What do you think about "Horton Hears a who!" (2008)
An early concept board created by Hayao Miyazaki in 1976 for My Neighbor Totoro. Miyazaki conceived Totoro during the production of Isao Takahata's masterful TV series, 3000 Leagues in Search of Mother.
I rediscovered my love of cartoons this summer in NC. Calvin and Hobbes first sparked my interest in art as a kid, and I used to dream of making a Calvin and Hobbes movie one day...now I just want to make my own stuff. Excited to start my 2nd semester in the ad program soon!!
