Spotted these beautiful Marigold also known as Calendula at the florist. Not only are they beautiful but they are a wonderful herbal to use.
Calendula is generally used in the treatment of inflammatory skin disorders or inflammation of the mucosa and as an aid to wound healing.
Due to its anti inflammatory and vulnerary properties, it is extremely useful for stubborn wounds, skin inflammations and varicose veins. It is also effective in treating skin problems like rashes, nappy rash, chapped & cracked skin, abrasions, sunburn, superficial and limited burns, insect bites and eczema. Blending calendula with cypress and lemon essential oils, when applied lightly can assist in decreasing the symptoms of varicose veins and venous congestion by inhibiting inflammation, toning tissue and promoting enhanced blood supply to tissue.

•Juice from 2 large lemons
•1 can of light coconut milk

I've decided to shift my diet a little bit, I've talked about my current struggle with getting my hormones back into balance and there is an inflammation in my body that I can't seem to pinpoint the route cause. So I always like to tweak my diet first to see how my body responds before I resort to any pills, supplements or medication. I am a strong believer in the healing powers of food. Don't get me wrong, I have done a lot of reading and research into what foods are best to balance out hormones, and aside from adding anti inflammatory and cut out stimulant foods (which I've already done with no result) a common trend seemed to be focusing on a more high fat, moderate to high protein and a lower carb diet with positive results.
For the past 6 months vegetables have been the main feature and focus in my meals - which means higher carb meals which could also mean a spike in insulin for my body, which may be the cause of my problem. I have loved and thrived on eating this way but it has subsequently meant that but I have neglected my proteins from both plant and animal and I don't always incorporate a source of healthy fats in each meal. Which could be what I need more of for my body.
So that's what I'll be doing from now and document how I go and how my body responds! I'm excited to try this and see if it works, and also change my meals up a bit - without sacrificing any vegetables of course! So higher protein meals are back on the menu and so will my obsession with avocado and coconut🤗wish me luck!

I've been feeling pretty bad these past 10 days with a constant head ache, nausea, general malaise and fatigue. Hoping it's just a die off from introducing #methylsulfonylmethane along with some other new supplements including more #probiotics . I'm never sure since my "regular" symptoms are really similar to a #herxheimerreaction .
This week I'll be doing a new stool test to check inflammation markers and see if the #hpylori is truly gone, an environmental pollutants test which includes a #mitochondrial biomarker, and finally a big hormonal panel to see if I have #PCOS or if it's just #PCO . Oh and obviously a regular full blood panel.
I also saw a great #naturopath last week who gave me some #glutathione , along with a #homeopathic remedy and #acupuncture (which really hurt!!). Attacking this from all angles 🙈
