Anthem for the Reef 🐠🐙🐚 As a child, I was lucky enough to snorkel this iconic reef. It’s colours vibrant 💙💜💚 Busy with marine life 🐠🐙🐚 I returned as an adult to find the coral ▫️white▫️ - as far as the eyes could see 😮 with very little marine life swimming around it 🚫
Grammy winning artist Flume has brought the Great Barrier Reef to the screen with a brand new track ❤️

⚡️PSA⚡️Shout about it - our Prime Minister is pregnant! This from @jacindaardern : “And we thought 2017 was a big year! Clarke and I are really excited that in June our team will expand from two to three, and that we’ll be joining the many parents out there who wear two hats. I’ll be Prime Minister AND a mum, and Clarke will be “first man of fishing” and stay at home dad. I think it’s fair to say that this will be a wee one that a village will raise, but we couldn’t be more excited. I know there will be lots of questions, and we’ll answer all of them (I can assure you we have a plan all ready to go!) But for now, bring on 2018.” Further evidence of @jacindaardern being the most ordinary-extraordinary person we have the good fortune to behold. .
MALIE, TANIFA X JOHNNY PENISULA
An ode to the traditional Samoan song of the same name and a depiction of the two ocean deities, the shark and the devil fish, as they fight for dominance over the sea.
Carved from a single piece of gabbro stone the top half depicts the Malie and the lower half is the Tanifa. Unique to this piece is the strip of red that runs through it's middle, this is the lesson as explained to me by Johnny. The stone tells you what to do, not the other way around.
Stone from Te Waipounamu singing a song of Samoa.
Deliciously died with delicious organic Butterfly Pea tea. Thankyou @balancedenergy and @teaandtonicmatakana for the inspiration for this little experiment with tea dyeing. Best of all is I get to drink this tea first. Keeping it safe. Yum-tastic 🌿🌸💚
Someone will always be travelling somewhere, attending some festival or concert or doing something else..
If you're doing what needs to be done to see your dreams manifest into real life - keep your head down, keep grinding.. it's gonna pay off 🤘🏽
This photo was taken last year by @russkleyn with the model wearing one of our Junya Watanabe white shirts. The models relaxed pose reminded me that it’s Wellington Anniversary Day on Monday so we will be closed for the day. We’re open today and tomorrow as per usual so pop in & check out our other fantastic white shirts. You can never have too many of them! @commedesgarcons #junyawatanabe#whiteshirt#classicstyle#sale#no16#16jessiestreet#wellington#aotearoa
Working on this double kong vault 🦍 It's great to be able to watch and break these movements down in slow motion. Need to make sure that I keep my hips up and extend the legs out so that I don't clip the obstacle 😅 ☠
19 January 2018 || Another day, another hike. Second time doing the Haks this week (rained the whole way through) and went from 2:30 to 2 hours finishing it.
Your inspirational quote of the day: Sweat is just fat crying 😉 😂
People often ask why my Bao has ears/spikes. Well three years ago back when @judgebaonz was an idea in a notepad, I was researching all kinds of steam buns, origins and translations. I came across a London born Chinese guy talking about how his grandad told him that you know when your charsiu Bao is ready because it should be laughing. I really loved this terminology, so we made all our Bao laugh. So this is our way of bringing happiness through food. I also wanted to introduce my love of Chinese culture and food through bread as in every culture we break bread.
