Aperol Spritz by the tray full for EJ and Janel's welcome cocktail were a beautiful way to finish off our summer 2017 events. And now I'd like to sleep until Fall. I couldn't be more tired this morning after a whirlwind trip to Lopez Island this weekend and about 9 hours of sleep over two days. While everyone else in Seattle is going into beast mode today I think I'll be going into bear mode and hibernating Zzz. ..What a summer! Thank you everyone for the great nights, big laughs, and opportunity to serve you!

"Please pace yourself so we don't have to." 😉
Headed out for our double header wedding Saturday as well as my cousin's wedding reception where we'll be guests (it will almost be weird to be a guest and not working!) and remembering this picturesque reception last week. Also I love our new sign from @somethingtochalkaboutjd , it's a good reminder for all you wedding guests out there today!
QUESTION: If we were to add to our mobile bar collection what kind of rigs would you love to see? .
A. Another camper bar as cute as the first .
B. A tap truck with tons of draft options .
C. A vintage bar/wine truck .
D. Horse trailer bar .
E. Something else entirely, like the cool retro truck parts bar above (photo via @thewanderingsidecarbar by way of @marthastewart) .
we are deep into our summer season and so we are busy making sure we execute those events flawlessly, but my head is already thinking ahead to winter, when we have time to iterate and improve on our business. We have some big plans ahead, and I love a good crowd sourced question, so I'll be asking for your guys' opinions and help a few times in the next week or so as I dream towards the future. Cause you guys are smart. And stylish. And I trust you. Ready? GO!
Nestled in @ @rein_fire_ranch for the Mathena reception. Love that we're 5 minutes from my childhood home, working in our hometown, at a great venue, for one of the best families I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. I spent a lot of time at the Mathena household growing up, drinking Dr. Pepper, lighting off my first bottle rocket, asking Jeeves the dumbest question we could come up with, listening to the whistling of Mel (one of the best dad's I've ever known besides my own and @troy_kelly11 .) Today my childhood besties' nephew is getting married and seeing this family again is so special to me. Seriously they're better than the folks on Parenthood, or Brady Brunch. They're that kind of family: a loud, loving, funny, wish they'd adopt you kind of family. I get the distinct feeling that tonight's celebration with Cole Street brewing beer on tap, heritage Distilling liquor, & lake Chelan winery wines is going to be ridiculously fun!
Lavender Honey Old Fashioneds, Moscow Mules, Cole Street Porter, ESB, IPA, and blonde, wine: Stormy Mountain Red, Falling Cow red and white, Chardonnay
We've been locked in our office for what feels like weeks editing all our amazing couples! Going outside definitely felt like looking into the sun! #throwbackthursday to Clint + Lisa's engagement session!
We won- wow!!! Our company is 16 months old. Our second baby boy is 6 days old. We have a lot to celebrate!!! We won Best New Wedding Vendor & Best Bar Service for Seattle Bride Magazine's annual industry award. The best comparison I can give to this feeling is jumping off a building and having an entire team of kind, encouraging, talented wedding professionals all holding a sheet below you so you just bounce to safety. Leaving my career and starting my own business felt a lot like that. While we serve a lot of other types of clients besides just weddings (we want to be there for every reason you have to celebrate, including " Tuesday,"), the welcome that we have received from the Seattle wedding industry has been my single biggest encouragement in the last year and I am so thankful. Last night I was at home with our new baby boy and my husband, watching TV while my older son slept, and finishing his gelato while the rest of the industry celebrated and the announcement was made. Please know that I was thinking of you all and I'm so proud to be among the finalists and nominees in this industry. Now let's party, low ABV style cuz I'm nursing. Cookies and a glass of wine coming up.... 🍷 🍪. 💃🏼
Sitting pretty for Sunday's wedding at @carnationfarmsweddings aka our favorite eastside venue! The property is gorgeous, there are so many places available to set up your event in all different size ranges (the seated capacity is huge in the hippodrome to accommodate big weddings like the Appiah reception), there is an organic garden on site from which we can source some of our ingredients to make insanely locally sourced cocktails, the staff is warm and welcoming and lovely to work with, and perhaps best of all for us as caterers, there is a huge ice machine. We love a good ice machine!
Making our way back to Florida and with a bunch of work to share! Seriously the best sessions! We also may or may not be going stir crazy in the car, but old school hip hop definitely makes it bearable.
This is from a recent wedding down in Key West
Huge thanks to this crew of attractive people who kept our crowd happy with fresh muddled watermelon mint tequila smashes, peach thyme sangrias, & rum & cokes with bourbon soaked cherries, & kept me mostly off of my feet yesterday. They're a nagging crew who kept telling me to stop lifting stuff & man do I need that! Last night's event at Georgetown Stables was my last event before my due date but my awesome team will take the reins for a bit after the newest camper is born, and I am so happy that I have folks I can trust to do a damn fine job!
Venise's big recent splurge was hiring housecleaning help, mine was investing in the fleeting moment our family is in by capturing it with a family session with @omegankathleen. I wanted a family session, not a maternity session. I wanted real moments documented, not manufactured. Megan delivered above and beyond!
Yesterday's wedding was what our happy camper dreams are made of!
Nestled among the evergreens, serving local favorites like @macandjacksbrewing, Bourbon Peach Teas with our handcrafted peach syrup, & Moscow Mules with @timbercityginger to the happiest, nicest, and most chivalrous wedding guests from Arizona and Seattle made us #westcoast proud. I pride myself on my patented stay fit system called "this business requires lifting things," 😜 💪but the groomsmen here wouldn't let me get my workout in. Kirstin & Jimmy are great people so it makes sense that they'd be surrounded by good people. This sweet, adventurous couple placed a finger on a map a year ago and drove here from Tucson to start a new life together. To watch them celebrate their official union yesterday, and new life here together with their beautiful group of family and friends was so cool! And then they brought their pregnant bartenders (yes, both of us lol!) plates of BBQ & mac & cheese and just completely melted our hearts ♥️ with gratitude.
