Took apple crumble to the next level last night: replaced flour with glutenfree banana flour, sugar with coconut sugar and added walnuts👍 Coconut sugar gave it a caramel taste and banana flour made it look a bit chocolatey😍 Turned out really well🍓🎉😊
It's a warm and sunny autumn day and I am ill 😭. But at least I get to enjoy this apple crumble 😍. I have made apple pie twice already, but I didn't like the crust on either. So this time I* made a 'pie' with no crust at all 😂 and it's perfect! * I instructed, mom made the actual work 😂
Took me awhile to get this post up but the Tudor Grill and Lounge certainly deserves a huge shout out.
We'd go up to Cameron Highlands once every other year to enjoy the cool weather and that lovely YTL resort we love. I've never known Cameron to have really good cuisine and decided out of the blue to drive us up the little hill on Cameron where Strawberry Park Resort is to have dinner at Tudor Grill and Lounge because he felt like a steak and I've read a little about that restaurant.
Little do we know that we will stumble upon a complete gem, a lovely old English feel grill that has such a wonderful ambience along with the good weather. Service was slow but pleasantly so.
1) Garlic bread
2) Smoke salmon crostini
3) 12 oysters Florentine
4) large serving of home made mushroom soup
5) Black Angus steak
6) Flambé Tederloin
7) Apple and Strawberry crumble
8)1 bottle of Penfolds Rawson's Retreat Shiraz Cab
I am not one to show my receipt for a meal but this, I must. That all, with the oysters, flambé steak and full bottle of Penfolds came up to MYR406. That's SGD130 which wouldn't have been enough to pay for the wine and oysters in Singapore, thank you very much.
