Good morning. It’s darn cold outside today and all I could think of was a bowl of hot oats to warm me up. Sweet potato and apple cinnamon oats simmered in water with maple syrup for sweetness and a little almond milk for some added texture. I topped it with more apples, sliced almond, pomegranate seeds and cinnamon. So cozy and delicious. Hope you have a great day!

Need a dessert idea for Christmas time?🎄Try this delicious Easy Rustic Apple Pie 🍎🥧 The great thing about this pie is that it doesn’t need s pie pan! Just wrap the All-Butter Flaky Pie crust around the apple pie filling (I added cranberries 😋) and bake! Serve it with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and it will be a hit 🙌 You can totally use a store-bought pie crust if you’re short on time 😉
🥧All-Butter Flaky Pie Crust
1 1/4 cups All-Purpose Flour
2 tablespoons Sugar
1/2 teaspoon Salt
1/2 cup butter cold, cut into 1/2 inch cubes
3-4 tablespoons Ice Water
🍎Apple Pie Filling
4 medium apples cored & sliced
1/2 cup Dried Cranberries (optional)
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
2 teaspoons lemon juice
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup Sugar
1/8 teaspoon Salt
2 tablespoons Cornstarch
1 tablespoon butter cut into small pieces
1 egg beaten
1 tablespoon Sparkling Sugar
🥧All-Butter Flaky Pie Crust
Place flour, sugar and salt in food processor or large mixing bowl. Cut in the cold butter into the flour mixture. Add ice water one Tbsp at a time. Pulse or until large clumps form. When dough begins to hold together, lay on large piece of plastic wrap and form into a ball. Flatten the ball into a disc shape, cover and refrigerate for 30 min.
Roll the dough into a large circle.
Add all filling ingredients to a bowl, except the butter Stir until apples are coated. Use a spoon to roughly chop apples. Place filling in the center of the rolled out dough, leaving a 2-3 inch border. Fold the border up and around the filling, pleating it together. Leave a circular opening in the center. Dot the filling with butter. Brush the top of the dough with the beaten egg and sprinkle with sparkling sugar.
Place rustic pie on a parchment lined baking sheet and bake for 40-45 minutes at 400 degrees until the crust is a deep golden brown. Tent the pie with foil for last 15-20 Minutes.
✨Day 14 of my juice feast. Still releasing a lot of emotions. Literally things that have happened years ago. Just feeling my way through it and allowing them to come up to be released. This is the most challenging part about it. Releasing emotions that we usually stuff/numb with food. Once I address, allow, and let go, I feel SOO much better afterwards. And sometimes the issue comes back up like “We’re not done yet”. 😫😫
And then these moments of feeling so high and electric and euphoric! It can’t be described. 🤗⚡️☯️ ✨Been really backed off social media it’s just mentally exhausting while fasting, because of the overload of information as well as seeing this word ‘POSITIVE’ all over the place. Like really, when in a space of healing and releasing, it’s not really about being 100% positive it’s more so about being open, honest, and allowing the true emotions to come up and be released, therefore being receptive to all of the beauty to come. I’m all for positivity, but I have to be REAL. Honesty doesn’t care about anyone’s feelings. And to be honest, this ain’t my favorite juice combo, but I’m doing this one for my sis @soarhigher.yne 😘💞✨😩😩😂😂😂
This was another Goodwill find from this past Saturday. 😍🍎🍎🍎 It's not vintage or anything but we just loved it. They're little wooden apples about an inch tall strung on what appears to be hemp twine. ❤️✨❤️ Just too cute to pass up! ☺️
