Steven Holl named this commercial complex "Sliced Porosity Block"... Really complex design and seems like the Chinese really didn't care about how much he plays with the design. There are so many extravagant moves that are just pure yolo-ness. But it does seem like a really really fun project to me, it's almost like a studio project to come true. How do I frame this view of this tower? How can I give the old city a presence in this modern complex? How can I make something ridiculous so people can be like wtf is this shit from miles away? (The Giant Chicken Effect curtsey of Doug...) sorry I don't wanna crop this photo so I'm not posting the other ones... google it yourself if you wanna see the design 😂
There have been oh so many gorgeous weddings that I've flowered this year thus far, and many more to come. With the hustle and bustle of running a business on my own and all that entails, plus all the goings on in life in general (mum having heart surgery being one) I can't keep up with all the images I can share here. It's a bit much to be honest, and my couples privacy is incredibly important to me!
Here is a shot of an arch for one of my July weddings. .
