Why do we fear rejection?
We fear rejection because we want to feel wanted. And rejection makes us feel unloved and unworthy. Like there is something wrong with us. Its a natural feeling that people want to avoid. But There are times when we have to put ourselves out there, take chances and believe. Rejection is part of life and everyone goes through it.
We made it! There are ranger-led tours through this wilderness area of Arches National Park known as the Fiery Furnace, but they were booked out too far in advance. A ranger thought we were serious enough hikers that we should get a permit ourselves and work our way through...it would be more fun since we can explore and really enjoy the quiet there.
Well it is quiet in there...but it's a maze too. Check out @oneimaginaryme's post...we had to slip through crevices, up and over some big rocks, and figure out where we can even get through! It feels like your hiking through an abandoned Stone Age city where Fred & Wilma Flintstone move when their business with Mr. Slater took off! At first we were "Oooh! Aaah!" and then came the screaming and the running to get out before it got too late and the sun set before we got out of there!
We made it! It was awesome! It was unforgettable! And I'm probably going to dream about finding little brown arrows in a maze canyon all night...
