"To me, you are still nothing more than a little boy who is just like a hundred thousand other little boys. And I have no need of you. And you, on your part, have no need of me. To you I am nothing more than a fox like a hundred thousand other foxes. But if you tame me, then we shall need each other. To me, you will be unique in all the world. To you, I shall be unique in all the world..." BUT "It is the time you have wasted for your rose that makes your rose so important." - Antoine de Saint-Exupery
“Our strategy should be not only to confront empire, but to lay siege to it. To deprive it of oxygen. To shame it. To mock it. With our art, our music, our literature, our stubbornness, our joy, our brilliance, our sheer relentlessness...and our ability to tell our own stories. Stories that are different from the ones we’re being brainwashed to believe. The corporate revolution will collapse if we refuse to buy what they are selling...their ideas, their version of history, their wars, their weapons, their notion of inevitability. Remember this: We be many and they be few. They need us more than we need them. Another world is not only possible, she is on her way. On a quiet day, I can hear her breathing." You are invited to attend Art Battle and my Bon Voyage Party. I will be leaving area temporarily to go on tour promoting Art Battle across the country. You may ask what is Art Battle?
Art Battle is a live competitive painting event! Painters will create the best work they can across three timed rounds. As they work, the audience moves around the easels, allowing them an up close view of the creative process. At the end of the rounds, the audience votes for their favorite painting and the top 2 artist move on to the Final Round with a new canvas. The winners of each city will be invited to participate for the international title of champion.
There is never a fee or cost for Artists to participate in Art Battle and winners even receive a $500 cash award. Works created at Art Battle will be made available for silent auction at the event with the Artist receiving 50% of the final collected sales price on their work. Get your earlybird tickets for the LAST show in Los Angeles on Wednesday, November 29th. Doors open at 7:30pm. Starts 8pm

So very over joyed that one of my pieces has been picked to be in a gallery. This one featured in the picture with me is that very one.
As it’s an older piece but its still one of my favorites. It’s been a long road and although I feel like this isn’t much.. it’s a great opportunity for me. This might lead me to better things. As they say dreams do come true if you want them bad enough. I want this.
I’ve been drawing since I was a little bitty kid. I love it with every ounce in me. I still do. I see art in everything. As for painting I’ve only took it serious for a year. This was one of the paintings I actually did first. It’s exactly a year old.
It started as a picture from an art book someone let me look at and the girl was put into a picture. Days after I drew her then I decided to google different pictures and draw them in. So these are just different pictures brought together as one. As for painting I just like to have fun with it.
I want to thank everyone for believing in me and encouraging me to never stop and to keep going. I have amazing support behind my work. I want to thank those who’ve guided me through. I never thought I would get to this moment but here I am. Hopefully there will be more opportunities throughout my life time. Because I’ll never stop.
Thanks for your time and for reading this. Have a great day! 😊 - Felicia Ashworth-
