A spontaneous drive up Oak Creek Canyon yielded some spectacular winter scenes. The combination of white snow, red rock, and lush greenery is hard to beat!
The many layers of Coal Mine Canyon.
The best views are the ones you work for 👌🏼💪🏼😤
Staring at Mother nature’s art while my sister @heloise.roy grabbed my camera and took this shot.
Sunset in the White Mountains is magic.... it’s not a phrase I coined, it’s what you will find yourself saying at least once if you visit. Have you ever had a moment when you feel like a lion, and then a moment when you feel like a mouse? That’s how I feel when I hike up to the Rim.... stand on a rock and look out over into the forest... one moment a lion (on top of the world) and then seconds later a mouse (so tiny and insignificant). Love the warm sunset glow fading into the mountains here.... #learningtoroarwhenIfeelsmall #mogollonrim #azwhitemountains #apachesitgreavesnationalforest #snow #sunset #ig_captures #ig_sunsetshots 🎒🌎🦁🐭
Camelback Mountain 3 times today👍...during the first summit this morning I was greeted with this sunrise🔥...ended up going back to Camelback Mountain this afternoon with @marwancoco87 to hike it two more times✌️
The coolest of desert vibes. ✨🌵
All of the men and women who maintain America’s National parks like @grandcanyonnps will always be essential as far as I’m concerned. Happy Monday everyone, hope you can get outside and enjoy it!
Travel through the beautiful Virgin River Gorge and go from Nevada to Arizona to Utah in about 10 minutes. Driving north for a winter visit to Yellowstone national park.
This weekend saw Arizona’s first major snowfall of the season! Skiers saw some extremely chilly weather yesterday. That cloud visible near the top of Humphreys Peak is actually snow blowing from the summit in the extreme wind. Rumor has it temperatures at the top were around -30 degrees with windchill!
Winter wonderland on the AZT
I wonder if February will be cold since the rest of the winter has been so warm? I suppose this is just the new normal tho🧐
Went back to Saguaro Lake on Sunday to hike but the government shutdown put a crimp in our plans. Beautiful view anyway.
