I went into the gym feeling kind of frustrated. I’ve lost a decent amount of inches, definitely, although I’ve gone up in weight since I’ve started. I know muscle weighs more than fat, and all that jazz, but I carry the majority of my fat on the upper part of my body. I still see it. I know it won’t go away in a day, and I know I’m too hard on myself.

Tonight, I bench pressed 85 lbs, which scared the fuck out of me, but I did it. It felt amazing. I did my workout, came home, flexed, and saw this. I reached a new mindset tonight that the fat may not melt off in a week or even a month. I’ve been heavy for a while. But I’ve come a long way since I started this journey, and I’m getting stronger. It isn’t just about the weight loss this time. It’s about being a boss ass bitch who can handle her own, a strong, beautiful woman. “This is brave, this is proof, this is who I’m meant to be. This is me.”

I’ve been working so hard on growing my triceps and getting pretty wings (Lats) 😜 I am no where near where I want to be but man have I made some progress. My pull ups are so much closer to being correct (not perfect I know, but I used to do all pull ups with my chest). Hard work is paying off.
