My number one recommendation to young artists who want to be successful is to set up space as an art studio. You need to be able to sit down and make a mess! Hear all 7 Secrets to Success for Artists on my new free online course at www.alchemyofpainting.com

How many people get to say they bounced on a trampoline in the ballroom of the Plaza Hotel? Just me 💁🏽 @theplazahotel #intern#artbusiness
Today, we hit a landmark! 🙌🏼❤️ I'm sure you all know how much we appreciate you, but, for the people in the back - THANK YOU! Not only have we grown as a business, but as friends, as artists, and as a community. Instagram has given us a platform that connects with so many of you like minded people, and we feel like we've made so many friends and life long connections through it. Sending you all some virtual love today! 💗 it feels so good to see the numbers sometimes, because it's solid work being put in every time we make a listing, or photograph a piece. There's so much I've learned from this business that isn't all about the numbers though; hard work is something only you can define for yourself, not all things will happen the way you expect (which is a good thing!), and that sharing what your passionate about only increases the radius of positivity and love that you give and receive. May you all cherish yourselves today, and see yourself as the perfect being of cosmic glory that you are today! Make art, appreciate art, and live an artistic life, with whatever medium you have to play with. Help each other find their creativity, and be strong in yours.
We will be choosing our giveaway winner tonight, so if you haven't entered, do! All of you have a chance to get a surprise this holiday season! ✨
***ZEBRA PHUR*** If you woulda' told me years ago that in this art game thread and stitching woulda' been a thing....well I would have laughed at you.... I remember helping my mom thread needles when I was a young lad and here I am admiring this white thread in this grey cotton pullover. #theblackgeniusartshow#createeveryday#artbusiness#brobinson#artoonist www.theblackgeniusartshow.com
✨WARNING: THIS COULD CHANGE YOUR LIFE ✨
If you're a local artist 👨🏼🎨, photographer 📷, or entrepreneur 👩🏼💼, we're looking for YOU. As part of our upcoming #dreamsmadereal series, we want to make YOUR dreams a reality.
We're adding a "dreams made real" reward level to our Kickstarter campaign. When anyone pledges for this reward level, it will go towards funding a month's membership for a local creative entrepreneur. And that person could be you! 👋🏼 If you would like to participate in this series, comment on this post, DM us, or email firstname.lastname@example.org and we'll send you more details. Don't forget to share this post with your friends and family so they can cheer you on! 🎉

I’ve had a love/hate relationship with printing for over a decade. I caught the digital printing wave early. In 2002, Epson unveiled their revolutionary printer, the Stylus Photo Printer 2200. I purchased one and bought into the dream of selling fine art prints of my art. That is… if I could only make a decent print!
I wasted a lot of expensive ink, paper and time trying. The only consultant I knew charged $2,500 a day, so I was stuck trying to figure things out for myself. Eventually, I got to the point in which the mere act of pressing the print button caused anxiety. I put my dreams on hold.
Then, three years ago I had what I thought was a brilliant solution! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Guest post from artist @anam_caras on the blog now!
Today I'm working 1 of my last 2 drawings of the season!
After these 2 drawings I've actually got a photo shopping job (my first paid photoshopping job) and the gift commissions are done!
Next I'm starting some personal art projects that I've been putting off.
Stuff that my daughter has been asking for like
-customizing her ds case
-an art challenge she came up with for me
Also going to get some wood canvases and signs painted and make some jewelry.
I'm calling it the #funartlist
A list of ideas that aren't about making money, just ideas that pop up here and there.
After those just for fun things I'll be working more on the business of rimbeyart.com and most importantly - digging back into #homeschool !
