A selection of some of Lady Dorothy Nevill's Sèvres porcelain as it appeared in an article about her art collection in 1902 in 'The Connoisseur'- Lady Dorothy is a fascinating character who gained contemporary admiration as a woman art collector, writer, botanist, and political hostess in the Victorian era. Broad leaves of a cooling cindered shade, droop lazily dipping into dusk,
The light of day to twilight wades, as she slowly sheds her earthy husk,
Her fingers poised in gleeful grace, her breath of gold bleeds into dark,
Her flowers strewn across the sky, leave sightly sinews in the stark.
