Many companies try to motivate their people through 'vision' statements on the wall. Daily, many non-for-profits are impacted by their 'Vision'. The homeless man, the child crying from hunger, the beauty art can bring the soul, cure for cancer, an abused young person given hope. NFPs understand their motivation.
To gain some insight into your own purpose, look at your resume so far.
Ask your self which are the roles you enjoy most., what about them bought you joy, what was your contribution.- your legacy if you will, why did they really matter to you and to your collegues.
The No.1 lesson I learnt in adversarial negotiations was to find the 20% Common Ground, that will lead you to a mutual agreement.
We generally have 80% of congruence with our collegues. Relationships thrive in common space and can go onto achieve great things!
From the beginning of time, humans have pursued meaning. In the beginning the purpose was to survive harsh environments, compete for for food, create shelter and so on...... there was always a PURPOSE. With Evolution our needs have also evolved. But still ingrained in our DNA is the instinct of meaning, of PURPOSE
Sorry all for the long delay in posting. I’m going to try and post more but no promises. By the way, snag prints of both of these over at https://www.redbubble.com/people/melkstudio /
Both of these are based on songs from the Avett Brothers. The first is from the song, “A Lover Like You,” and the second is from “Murder In the City.” I would highly recommend checking both songs out, they’re absolutetly wonderful. These were both made to hang up in our new breakfast nook. /
I finally finished this piece!! What a great start to the new year! I hope everyone's holidays was good. Took me a while to finish and I apologize for my absence. Nevertheless I'm back! (Yayy *small cheer*)
Drawing made me realize who I am as a person and what areas I can improve on, not only with my art or drawing in this case. But, it helped me grow as an individual. Patience, forcing myself to learn different things, looking at things on a different angle, seeing different perspectives, and the list goes on. Never stop growing. Never stop learning or educating yourself. I see all these new years resolutions and to be honest, if you really wanted to change or wanted change, or whatever it may be. You would've done it already - - you would've taken initiative. You don't need the new year to tell you to do so. As I quote, "You have 86,400 seconds in a day - - make every second count!" What you do today is a reflection of who you are tomorrow. Don't worry about who you did or what you did last week, that doesn't matter. What matters is what you do today. Today is the day, if you want the change or whatever it may be - - Today is the day. Take initiative! There will never be a point in your life when there's a "perfect" time to do something great. You need to create the "perfect" time - - and as always stay positive and tag me in whatever inspires, motivates, or even whatever makes you happy! Spread the love!
70 % of the workforce are disengaged from their job, workplace or employer. If they are not seeking alternative options, it is on their mind. A know fact but shocks me every time. If Empathy in the work place needed a stat.....here it is
