i'm alive! thanks for sticking around, it means a lot to know that not all of you are ghosts, so thank you:) i've been in architecture school, so i'm constantly making work, but it's not the same type of content. but i think this account should evolve with me, so i'm really going to try and keep this up. but honestly, we'll see.
I'm thrilled to announce this painting got an award at Catharine Lorillard Wolfe exhibit at National Arts Club and today it was sold to the new owner. It's wonderful to see your babies go places. If you want to see it in real life it'll be hanging at National Arts Club in New York till Friday. 🐳
After not touching this canvas for several years, I'm gonna play with it some more. It's called "Ancient Mariner Immunology," and since it's a relic of my Future Archaeologies phase, it has a story to tell.
For the last 3 weeks I have been studying the 7 layer flemish technique while composing my new painting.
90x90 Oil paint ⭐️ I am quite excited about this painting for which I will use this amazing technique:
2. First umber layer
3. Second umber layer
4. Grayscale layer (dead color)
5. First color layer
6. Second color layer
7. Detailing layer.
🛠 So far I put 3 layers of gesso and sand in between the layers, draw the composition and add the fixativ and now ready to layer up.
🔎 I love symmetry however for this painting, I tried quite hard to have NO symmetry though there is a grid and connection between the elements. -
