Huge thanks to @tvonenews & @rolandsmartin for having me on the show a little while back to talk about whether or not student-athletes should be getting paid. Through this, I realized that a lot of people don't understand what a typical student-athlete goes through on a daily...
College athletes have to balance practice everyday, school work, mandatory study hall, road games, etc... so there really isn't time to do anything else to gain real skills to help them in life. The @ncaasports won't even allow athletes to pursue any entrepreneurial endeavors because they will be "making money off of their athlete ability."
@lavar @zo @melo @gelo & @bigballerbrand have been the most recent trendsetters that are trying to change the culture and give the power back to athletes to control their own brand, image and likeness. Do you think that the @ncaasports should give in and let student-athletes pursue entrepreneurial ventures or make money while playing??

I have to say that i never thought i will use this word in the sport contest but here it goes..i feel used! Used by the clubs and people who run them..sport world has become very cruel..or maybe it has always been but the naive child inside me didn't want to see it.. There are just a few stars with a big contracts, but there are so many athletes who can relate to this.. we leave our families, our husbans and wifes, we leave our country, our city, our home to work hard and destroy our body every day to play for your clubs..Don't you know that proffesional sport is not healty? We come in strange country, we try to adapt on new culture, we even try to learn new language, and every year all over again, to play and to take what we deserve,what we work for and fight for.. But it seems like they are forgeting us, ignoring us.. Don't they know we would love to spend our birthdays and holidays and anniversaries with our loved ones and our friends. Don't they know we would love to wake up in our beds and eat grandmother's food. Don't they know we would prefere to feel safe in our own home, instead of walking alone around the world and faceing different problems every day and risking injuries every practice. Don't get me wrong, i love my job and i am thankful for the talente i have!
But who are they to disrespect it!? How they can play with our lifes and give us empty promises??
What doesn't kill you make you stronger, wrong, it makes you disappointed and angry.. THIS IS FOR ALL ATHLETES AROUND THE WORLD WHO DO THEIR JOB HONEST AND GIVE THEIR MAXIMUM ON THE COURT!
Keep up, dont let them break you, fight for what you love and don't lose hope in better tomorow! Peace ✌
I can't stress more about this saying: Surround yourself with people who are only going to lift you higher.
Many people who go to the gym or have a meet up with fitness goers from social media try to compare themselves to one another and try to lift heavier than others to just prove to everyone that they are "stronger" or can out lift the other person which creates unhealthy competition. Make sure this is not your intentions when you try to lift with a group of friends, because trust me, with this mentality you will go no where 🤷🏼♂️

Today, I had another session with my Mindset Coach, @mojo_master, to dial in on my last few days of prep. After telling him about whats been happening, how I am feeling, my routines, habits, processes and my learnings from the last few months it was bloody awesome to hear him say "we dont need to do anything, you're ready". 😍
My mental game is something I work on A LOT. I am hyper aware of the impact my brain has, not only on my training, but my life and the skills I have learnt through working with MJ have been really life changing.
