Day off today so I’m trying to get all my chores done before cooking a lovely roast tonight. Also we have been invited to a Halloween party this weekend so I’m frantically panicking about what to wear! I wish I embraced dressing up but I just don’t 😩🎃
Apologies to those who follow both my accounts but getting to this point with this beauty has been a trial. The slugs munched through most of the foliage in its early days so I moved it to the patio table and sprinkled crushed eggshells round the stem. I am now feeling a little smug and chuffed to bits as I have cheery autumn blooms 😃
Lovely Followers! If you've been looking at these posts of snazzy pumpkin gardens & thinking that "looks like fun, I'd love to give it a go"... come & join us! There are just a few spots left for tomorrow's Succulent Pumpkin Workshop. I'd love to meet more of you & create some beauties! 🌿🎃🍹

I've decided to kinda revamp my blog and instead of focusing on travelling, I will also write about other things I enjoy, like food, fashion, books or films. I'm working on a few ideas right now so I've decided to make a "creative corner" in my house. I put the table in front of the window for plenty of light and made this little shelf with things that make me happy. You can see books, flowers, scented candles and some of my music. Of course, in order to be productive you need to actually do things, but I find that creating a nice space like that helps your creativity. What does your creative corner look like? Or if you don't have one, what would you include in it?
It's the first time in over a week that I've felt vaguely alive thanks to visit from chest infection fairy. Just starting on the Tuesday flower fiddling having not got up extra early as a special birthday treat.
I usually pretend not to care about my birthday but I'm trying to be nice to myself these days. Looking forward to a day of lounging around and trying out the delicious looking menu @source_york later 🍾🍹🎁🎉
The other item for the garden-lover's funeral was this sheaf. I cut back my snapdragons hard after their first flowering in July, and they are now in their second flush and were perfect for that touch of cottage garden style.
