It's half-time! My first three months in Melbourne are over and I’m realizing more and more how grateful I am for the people around me. I would like to say a big “Thank you” digitally and in person for making this an unforgettable experience.
“Thank you” - my amazing host family for having me. I'm lucky to be with you, share your house taking care of Matilda, have dinner together, laugh and for our meaningful conversations. The advices given are helpful and of course the list with your top ten Melbs bars are a great addition. You have become a good friend and it feels like a second family to me! Thanks to @aifsaupair for bringing us together.
Thanks to my Au Pair girls: The best group for the small complaints, what would I do without you when I need to discharge? We signed up for the same adventure in a new country and family, because of this we level easily and become friends in no time. Together we explored beautiful parts of Melbourne including the dodgy places. A nice host family is good but a nice host family with friends is way better!
A big “Thanks” to all the other people I have been meeting unexpectedly: a ‘Google Maps’ tour guide which I had so much fun with, the nice guy in the mall who wished me a lovely day or the cafe owner who tried to speak German, all of them are part of my Australian Au Pair rollercoaster and making all my days more beautiful. The little things make a huge difference!
At last and the most important “Thanks” to my friends and family in Germany: I know I can count on you guys, I truly appreciate all the support and even if I enjoy every second in Australia, you guys are still my real home!
