Well, this is an interesting look back....On my birthday, a year ago, I posted the pic and message on the left. I was feeling strong, and confident, and “in the best shape of my life.” Fast forward to now....I have been feeling down on myself for quite some time regarding my weight. Because what you don’t see is the middle of this year that brought me down to a weight lower than I was even comfortable with, then back up to higher than I was comfortable with... Why is it SO HARD to be happy with ourselves??? What is insane is that I am virtually EXACTLY the same weight in these 2 pictures. I am in JUST as good of shape, if not better. Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday. I have been seeing tons of emails and posts regarding this, my favorite holiday, that I am SO not into... Because of my interest in health, the topics are usually in the vein of “How to stay on track during the holiday.” Stay on track? Honestly, it’s one day. The entire day is about food and family. Turkey is relatively lean and healthy, you always have veggies....so what if you have some extra carbs?? It isn’t going to ruin your year! Eat the meal you only eat once a year, spend time with those you love, and don’t stress! 🦃 🥘 ❤️ All that being said, this Thanksgiving is a bit odd for me, as I keep to my year long commitment to a completely (besides some accidental restaurant related slip ups...)year. This was a really hard decision, because as I said above - it’s one day. I seriously considered just doing it up. But I decided that I just would not feel like I accomplished my year if I didn’t follow through. I’m not going to lie...it will be a hard day. I’m not worrying about Clean eating or portions...but I am going to refrain from any animal products. SO - in an effort to enjoy my day as much as possible, I am focusing on spending quality time with my family! I will be taking a 1 day social media hiatus 😱😱😱😱, so I will talk to you all on Friday!

The story of a really f-ing hard workout, in pictures.... So, yesterday I ran, and my workout that was supposed to be only available until noon was Cardio Core. I really didn’t want to double up on cardio, as I was (or as I thought at the time) exhausted. So I crossed my fingers, queued up the workout on my computer, and hit pause, thinking that the next day (Today), it may or may not play. Welp folks, I DID indeed beat the system, it worked! But not wanting to take a chance that my luck would hold twice, I decided to double up and also do the legs workout today. And O.M.G - I am still not completely myself and I finished an hour ago.... I am 100% sure that if someone had heard all the grunting and breathing during my workout, they would have thought they were in Gold’s Gym. I also accidentally hocked a loogie across the room onto the carpet.
After my workout, I slowly made my way out of my workout room, holding unsteadily to the wall, praying that I didn’t fall over, and my husband stopped me and said WAIT, I HAVE TO TAKE A PICTURE! (Is he well trained, or what?????). Well, I managed to stay vertical for a few pics, but I literally collapsed onto the floor, and said, “You may as well take a picture of this, too...”. So that is the third pic. Completely unposed, this was real life, people.
I am really proud that I managed to get through both of these, and know that the exhaustion I felt yesterday was ALL LIES, because TODAY was what really pushing was. And also, my cheat-y evening with Wine and Pizza (no cheese, of course) MUST have been worked off at this point... And I am very very VERY eager for a rest day tomorrow. VERY! Did a say VERY???? I also want to give a personal thank you to @autumncalabrese for making such an amazing set of workouts and I literally CANNOT WAIT for the full EIGHTY-DAY version!!!
