rest is not idleness, and to lie sometimes on the grass under trees on a summers day, listening to the murmur of the water, or watching the clouds float across the sky, is by no means a waste of time. [j. lubbock] 🌳🌱 a gorgeous day today, chillin in the grass, overwhelmed with gratitude. 💚 i love our backyard.
Welcome to Holbrook, Az. this delightful little town is the home of many fantastic things, including these incredible dinos, or as they call them, “cementosaurus’s” haha.
Most of these statues were saved when the local “International Petrified Forest 🌳 and Painted Desert” was decommissioned in 2007. This was actually a roadside attraction dinosaur park that not only displayed tons of petrified wood, but also these amazing dinos. The statues were then placed around town as a permanent home for them after it closed.
An inspiring day for sure, definitely check these guys out if you are in the area. They sure would ❤️ the company :)))
Hiking with my boys!!!! Can you tell they look thrilled?!!😂😂😂 Tucker had fun he did so good! I had Tate in a carrier and he was not a fan 🙈 We did about a mile round trip. I brought some snacks and water. Snacks to distract Tate mostly 😆It was nice to get outside and get fresh air... But mostly to adventure with my boys!!!
Although it’s still pretty warm during most of the day (Expected high of 87 today), it is cooler in the morning and after the sun sets here in the valley... Which means I finally get to layer a bit... Excited about the progress I’m making on my jacket... I figure a few new buttons here and there and I’ll be good... This is the right side of the jacket... I feel like it needs some color though... So the search continues... 📸: iPhone 7+ #mgcplx
Following in @dougallfraser‘s footsteps, I wanted to share with you what I do to prepare for a client session of channeling divine guidance. My desk area where I work is chock-full of healing crystals and stones. One of the stones that I have always deeply connected to is clear quartz. I attune myself to the energy of clear quartz to prepare myself to be a clear channel for Divine guidance and unconditional love. I humbly ask Spirit to help me remove my personal thoughts and emotions so that I may be a neutral and uninfluenced channel for messages. As I hold the stone, I visualize a golden white light of Universal Love entering and filling my being, helping me to ground into the energy of Truth and unconditional acceptance.
What are some of your grounding techniques for client work or your own personal spiritual practice?
Beauty is around every corner if you know to look for it. 🌸
This popular mural, "The Garden" by @bonerbrian on the west facing wall of @themonOrchid, has a beautiful story behind the facade.
The young boy is a depiction of Brian's son Jasper, giving life and care by using a watering can, whose drops transform into a flock of hundreds of birds, symbolizing community, freedom, and minds working together. The birds are a continuation of a flock Brian painted on the south facing wall a decade prior, further echoing the theme of transformation.
The collaborative theme of the mural also brings awareness to the homeless community through @theihaveanameproject, encouraging a moment of pause and reflection for those who are no longer with us.
A quote from Mother Teresa reads: "At the end of life, we will not be judged by hour many diplomas we have received, how much money we have made, how many great things we have done. We will be judged by ' I was hungry and you have me something to eat, I was naked and you clothed me. I was homeless and you took me in."
Come visit the wall and spend some time. Here's to a kinder world in this season of thanks.
Thanksgiving is tomorrow and there is a lot to be thankful for, family, friends, and so much more. I'm grateful for the time I am able to spend out in nature and with the ones I love, never take a day for granted. Life is to short to be self absorbed and to care only about yourself. Remember to take time out of your day today to stop and think about what your thankful for #bethankfuleveryday#happythanksgiving

Just imagine how one less ruminating thought or worry may change your day today... A senior monk and a junior monk were traveling together. At one point, they came to a river with a strong current. As the monks were preparing to cross the river, they saw a very young and beautiful woman also attempting to cross. The young woman asked if they could help her cross to the other side.
The two monks glanced at one another because they had taken vows not to touch a woman. Then, without a word, the older monk picked up the woman, carried her across the river, placed her gently on the other side, and carried on his journey.
The younger monk couldn’t believe what had just happened. After rejoining his companion, he was speechless, and an hour passed without a word between them.
Two more hours passed, then three, finally the younger monk couldn’t contain himself any longer, and blurted out “As monks, we are not permitted a woman, how could you then carry that woman on your shoulders?” The older monk looked at him and replied, “Brother, I set her down on the other side of the river, why are you still carrying her?”
