Happy Thanksgiving everybody! I'll be leaving to see my family on Saturday but in the mean time, I really needed to hit the gym. I miss setting goals for myself. I miss running up to 10 miles a day and I miss when pushups were just a warm up. I will get back to that point so I will be making positive changes in my life 🌱🦋
Last I ran was in Leh for Ladakh marathon. I met with an accident while exploring untouched parts of Ladakh.
My bike slipped on the 2nd day of my expedition and I had to carry on with rest of my journey with both my knees injured.
Running Ladakh marathon was equally important, so I ran and completed it without failing. Thanks to @kosmicfitness my coach Gagan for helping me with important to do list before the marathon post the injury.
Today I ran 5k after 2 months and to my surprise I had negitive splits.
Thanks to my friend Dr. Dhruv Kapoor @drdhruvk for advising rest when I was adamant to run and continue my workouts.
Well I'm back now.
Throwback to the days when all I would do was eat pizza and drink beer 🙄
Probably at my highest weight at 148lbs
Not gonna regret those days because they were definitely filled with lots of fun especially with these girls, but thankfully I found my way back to working out 💪🏼😏
I am alive (still/again). More then three weeks no workout and I am totally ok with it. .
First I was sick with my ear. The pressure and imbalances. After that it was crazy at work. Our office moved and I still had to keep my deadlines. And just when I was ready to see my gym again I got so sick 🤢🤮 it was horrible. :
So here I am. Just rolled out my yoga mat, did some foam rolling and tested my very first real yoga 🧘♀️ pants which I got from hubby 😍
Gym is planed for Wednesday. Tomorrow morning I have my massage 💆♀️ because of my ears. .
Life is good and fitness 💪🏻 is important to me and it is part of my life but if I can’t do it for certain reasons it’s also ok. :
There will be always a next time and I just will pick up my lighter weights and work my way back up..
Same shirt, different woman. I mean, it’s me in both pictures and the actual weight loss isn’t that impressive, but my inner monologue has certainly changed. I am stronger and have much better balance, both physically and in life. It’s a daily battle I fight to take back my life but the good news is I’m winning! I have a long way to go to reach my goals. If you slide over you will see pics from 2013. That’s where I want to get to again, not for the look of it, but because that was when I felt the most healthy.
