My neck, my back, my ass cheeks and my rack... I'm talking about adult body acne, people! (and cracking myself up in the process 😂)
As if it isn’t cruel enough that #adultacne is a thing (weren’t we supposed to be done with this shit by 18?!), I’ve recently discovered the joys of adult *body* acne. Treating body acne isn’t as simple as using your usual face products all over your bod–facial skin is sensitive and delicate, and products made for the face are usually no match for the rest of your skin. I broke down what's working for me (and what isn't) on theILLUUM.com (link in bio)–including products to use, diet adjustments to make, and the joy of masking in...weird places. Have you found any miracle cures for bacne, asscne, and chacne (that’s chest-acne, duh) that I didn’t mention? Do tell–my cleavage is begging you. 👀

After you manage to eliminate acne you risk being left with large unsightly scars. These can be just as challenging to live with as the acne! Skincerity works to help the skin from the inside out and, in turn, creates a smoother more flush texture to the skin after acne. We do NOT ‘dry the spots out’ or ‘burn them off’. This is entirely different. But the results speak for themselves 👍🏻 #acne#scarring#acnescarring#skincerity#abetterway#acnebegone#skincerity#worldsonly#bacne#scars#cysticacne#hormonalacne

What is Bacne anyway?!🤔 Acne forms when pores or hair follicles become clogged with ⚰️dead skin and oil. This means acne can form anywhere except the palms of 🤚🏽hands and 👣feet. This is because these are the only two areas on the body that do not have sebaceous glands, the glands responsible for the production of sebum, oil and hair follicles where acne is formed. However, there is a slight difference between facial and body acne. Which means the way in which we treat infected areas should also differ. So, Bacne is very similar to facial acne in its symptoms and causes, but the treatment of it does differ. The skin on your back has larger pores🕳than facial pores which means they are far more likely to become clogged. This is why it is essential to book an appointment with your local Esthetician 💁🏻♀️ to get a thorough diagnosis of your skin. As your Esthetician, I am able to provide you with services tailored specifically for your skin’s needs. My Bacial treatment includes a deep cleanse💦 and exfoliation🌪 to remove dead skin and excess oil, steam💨& extractions👉🏽⚫️👈🏽, high frequency⚡️to keep the bacteria from spreading, a mask🎭, and finishing with a massage to relax🤩 and replenish the body’s nutrients🥇! Now, who wants one? 🙋🏻♀️
Message me to book your Bacial!📥
I FORGOT TO MENTION THAT YOU NEED TO (ofc) SCRUB IT ON YOUR BACK LOL // also, I do this because I feel insecure about my bacne and want to be able to wear cute tops without feeling skdbkwhdje and track season is coming up. Please remember to feel confident in your skin and don’t feel pressured to change anything. :) ❤️ I sound hypocritical -

Exercise. It’s something I love but when I get busy it’s the first thing that gets pushed to the side. When I was diagnosed with PCOS in nov 2017 I decided that being busy wasn’t going to stop me from working out. I have a gym membership but I’m really not a ‘gym person’ I use my membership for the classes (I try to do yoga, hot yoga and Pilates at least 3 times a week- one of each) I also walk my dogs every morning and every afternoon. Living by the beach I surf or swim most weekends, and I love going for hikes. I also love to ride horses, however since I stopped working as an equestrian coach I havnt been riding much 😢. I’m really not a cardio person (but I will often warm up on the treadmill... a solid 5mins 😂) and I don’t exercise to lose weight but I do it for my mental well-being and strength that it builds in my body. When i started modelling at 17 years of age I worked out to the point of exhaustion (which was sooo stupid because i was naturally so tiny at the point) .... I did this for a year until I realised that it wasn’t worth it. Funnily enough once i stoped caring and the stronger i got the more jobs I booked, I went from being a runway model to a commercial model and I loved it! I also LOVE the outdoors and can’t wait to one day own a big property like the one that I grew up on. Occasionally on weekends my hubby will do weight training with me too....it’s a nice way for us to spend some time together and make sure we get our workout in too. I’m a big believer that exercise needs to be something you love doing, so find what works for you and stick to it!! I would love to hear what you guys think about working out, and what your favourite exercises are?... maybe we can all inspire each other to try something different when it comes to working out!! 💪🙌💘

Thought I should give a shout out to the only bar soap that has ever NOT broken me out in #bacne . I've used @nubianheritage African Black Soap on my body for years and it has been wonderful. I'm rarely completely clear on my back but you should have seen the state it was in a few years ago. It's now 95% clear - just scarring and left over redness. .
Bacne or any kind of #bodyacne takes its toll on you just as much as facial acne. For most of my teens I could forget bikinis or pretty backless dresses. I really hope accutane will help banish my bacne forever! 🤞🤞
It wasn’t suppose to be back day but whatever!
Even though my lats aren’t as wide as I’d like it to be, I do enjoy working out the back simply because there are so many muscles in this area. There are endless amounts of workouts you can do.
And please don’t mind my “bacne” I’m a lil insecure about that 🙁. #backday#flexing#bacne
This was my back in May. Some of you may think this isn't even that bad, some might think otherwise. I thought I got over it a while ago but subconsciously I used my long hair to cover my back. It got to a stage where it was almost all gone but then for some reason it came back worse. And now, that my hair is shorter, I'm a lot more aware of it. I'm not gonna turn this into a profound message where I've suddenly developed confidence to show off that you can play connect the dots on my back... I feel very uncomfortable sharing this BUT I figured I can try to turn this into a celebration of my flaws instead because we all have flaws and that's okay.
