I am a mommy, a wife & a normal hormonal woman with the same insecurities & self confidence issues most women battle with. I’m a food lover, gym lover & passionate for this lifestyle. Knowledge is power & I tried every form of diet, tea or magic tablet ever advertised, but always took 3 steps forward 2 steps back. I rewarded with food, punished with food, comforted with food but never truly understood food. Educating myself was where it changed for me. Three way incorporation of upper thoracic extension with the support of the lats and the #anteriorobliquesling sandwiched between spine articulation for #healingwithpilates and #thoracicmobility
1️⃣ The bolster offers the most thoracic support to engage said muscles properly and bring stiffer spines into upper thoracic extension. Faulty postures tend to be stuck in extension elsewhere leading to kyphotic tendencies in the upper back and neck.
2️⃣ The 1/2 roller requires much more ROM and also does not provide the same #cervical support as the bolster
3️⃣ The final is completely unsupported other than one's own stability and strength...great for high performance athletes/dancers to reinforce supportive muscles in extension. I like to see the awareness going from extension, to neutral ending with spinal articulation through flexion.

As much as I've been plugging into my workouts, I was still spiraling out of control with my nutrition. 3 days was long enough to let me intestines relax without me going crazy + structured enough to find my mojo again 🙌🏼😊 I like having flexibility in my meal plan! so things like this are so uncomfortable

I love to cook for my family, healthy nutritious meals. Tonight's side, jasmine rice w/ lemon thyme from our garden, hazelnut oil & pumpkin seeds. I'm serving this with a big kale salad, chicken & sweet potatoes. I'm lucky my family enjoys fresh food, and they're willing to try new things. If your family is not open to healthier dishes try altering their favorite recipes. Swapping out unhealthy ingredients with nutritious ones, odds are they'll never know. Red leaf lettuce, spinach, colorful cherry tomatoes, green onions, carrots, black olives, mushrooms, chickpeas, pumpkin seeds, parsley & of course, Avocado. >>
Everyday I am trying to make more vegetable-based salads or meals. Trying new things is good. I don't know that I will ever be a vegetarian or a vegan but I am open to eating less meat, less dairy and less animal products; for me and for my health. I don't need a label and I don't need anyone to ever tell me that I have to choose sides and be perfect. It is about being healthier; bottom line. That is the goal and that is what is most important to me. A step at a time will get me there. Perfection is not necessary.

Let me tell you a story about this girl right here. You see this smile, it's genuine and real. It signifies healing and peace found within. See this smile used to be fake and forced because of a deep rooted sadness that has haunted me for over 20 years. That smile used to be my shield. I would put it up to make everything seem okay on the outside, when in reality I felt hallow, empty, sad, angry, and defeated. My battle within was something I fought alone because I felt it would be a burden to others. I was a recluse. I felt so alone. What was wrong with me? Years of therapy helped me to better deal with the pain of my past but nothing helped to end that dark sadness that ate me alive from the inside. Numerous amounts of medications and still nothing helped. I felt so empty inside. I even contemplated suicide at one point. I was lower than low and was looking for something to end the daily pain I felt. Finally one day after watching a friend I decided to give this health and wellness company a try, cause why not? I couldn't go any lower than the low I was living. After a consistent month of this gut health focused regimen I started to actually feel again! I was laughing and smiling for REAL!! 😳. How could this be? After being a Guinea pig and being on so many cocktails of pills? I had to research. I learned that your gut is the brain of the body and controls so much more than we think. Our happiness is buried in our guts and in order to find it we need to reestablish good gut health. Balance. Serotonin is made in the gut! I had finally felt like a human and not a hallow shell. Looks easy • the beauty of Pilates is it's ability to create graceful movement and a connection to all muscles, especially the smaller ones not often used. When the body is in a congruent state it moves fluidly and freely. There is a constant chat between mind and muscles. If done properly, pilates moves are far from easy!
