How do you teach semi circle? I keep the knees slightly bent throughout since this is what is traditional and it also allows for better articulation in the lower back. I think the footbar in the mid position is the most user friendly on the knee. Originally sprung with 2 reds but your client should not struggle to keep the arms straight. When your outfit matches your personality 💯%. We had a great weekend; the perfect blend of lazy & activity. Headed into the week all wreckless-like. (Meaning, we haven't meal prepped). Adam has an MRI this week for his knee (nothing serious 🤞) and I've made a goal to wake up early to get in my workouts before work (totally serious 🤞). Wish us luck. By bowl so hard I really mean I successfully made a cool oats and assorted foods bowl for the first time! It was delicious, super filling and not crazy heavy before my workout which was perfect!

When we say 'Pilates balances you out' we really mean it ! We all have little imbalances in our body - we tend to always sleep on one side, cross one leg over the other, wear a bag on the same shoulder every day ... and all of these things can affect the muscle balance in your body. These photos were taken maybe 2 or 3 minutes apart after Julette used some self-release techniques with her client to create more freedom of movement in her shoulders - no camera trickery, no asking the client to stand to one side, just years of training and experience and a practised eye 😉 Our motto is 'first create the movement, then strengthen you there'. Without making you aware of your strengths and weaknesses, which may not always be obvious, it is most likely you will continue to work with your 'strong muscles' and neglect your underdeveloped ones - even in a Pilates class! At Flex in the City, we are teachers, not instructors, we don't shout orders, we teach you how to get the most out if your body and to move with strength and freedom, and flexibility and control.
