😱"ACHOO!" excuse me 😂I jest I'm not sick 😷 but it is getting into the time of year when the good old common cold, & other lurgies start doing the rounds. I've had 3 of my online clients during check in tell they've got colds this week.😞
🏆I know there are many people who struggle with this should I shouldn't I train, will I lose my gains or trash my gains if I miss my work out & the answer to that is no you won't. Heading to the gym when you're under the weather to try & beast out your normal workout is probably not advisable.
😣The stress of a tough workout on your body maybe more than your poor old immune system get handle plus likely hood of an injury would definitely be increased. Nothing like a runny nose or a cough to ruin your deadlift game. Also if you have other life stresses going your body is not going to react kindly to you pummelling more on it
😎If all you is have the sniffles then some light movement such as walking, yoga etc may actually make you feel a bit brighter. But if it's more systematic ( e.g. fever, elevated heart rate, vommming either mouth or bottom ( sorry that's gross but descriptive)joint pain or you just feel weak then sit your ass down & rest.
❤️Overall these points are just to help give you some thought processes if you're sick & in a quandary. 🏵Let your symptoms be your guide & for the love of god don't feel guilty or bad if all you want to do is sit on the sofa with a romantic comedy & some soup 🍜

Sundays are days I love to make an extra effort and focus on self care. It is a lovely way to round off the weekend and set yourself up for the coming week ahead.
I like to carve out time on a Sunday to focus on realigning myself by meditating and mindfulness based activities. Even something as simple as sitting with closed eyes being aware of the sounds that are happening around the house, garden and neighbourhood.

Colorado weekend getaway with my parents is exactly what I needed. Life has been crazy and unexpected- more than usual- so getting back to my roots with my parents and being surrounded by Mother Earth is definitely making my heart smile and feeling balanced. 🤗💕
My first thought when I saw this photo... I can't believe Shane didn't get that huge rock in the background 😂😂 Ya know what I then realized, I kept the photo. A few years ago I'd never have kept a photo like this and in fact, would've insisted any bathing suit photos be from the chest up only!!! I didn't like the way I looked. I felt uncomfortable and ashamed. I was always sucking in my tummy and worrying about what other people thought about me😳
The thing is my progress isn't even about changing my body.
It's about all that I've GAINED!!
A sense of freedom and confidence like I've never had before!!! Even back in the day when I was a size ZERO I thought I was fat and had too much jiggle going on, ya know what I mean?! It's just not really about what one looks like.
It's all about how you feel and how you think.
Fact is I believe everyone has struggles with their body...whether it's w self image/self esteem/weight/health... and guess what?! The answer to improving is the same no matter which of those struggles you own.
Try something different w me!
My groups are what has helped me learn: 💕 Better self love. 💕 Better nutrition that gives me the energy I need and helps me feel so good I can smile bright 😊 💕Consistent fitness that makes me feel comfortable in any kind of clothing!! It's not the way my body has changed from the workouts, it's the sense of pride I develop every time I finish a program💪🏼💪🏼 I'm not perfect. I'm not trying to be. All I know is I like the way I feel in this photo and I like how I feel when I look at it.
I want everyone to feel as good as I do!
So my next group is going to focus on the steps I practice that brought me to where I'm at today!! So you can truly love yourself, feel confident and comfortable in your own skin and have the energy you need to enjoy your life😊
