😘The life stages we go through are crazy & at my age I’ve been a fair few. When I decided to compete & try my hand at the whole fitness model lifestyle I had no idea what an impact it was going to have on my life,my body image & my mindset.

🙅🏼‍♀️I went from someone who really enjoyed food to having this view that literally if I ate anything I hadn’t cooked myself I was instantly going to gain weight.

👩🏼‍💼I went from someone who trained to feel & look good, to someone who was obsessively training because every training session I viewed as the session that was going to get my body to a place where I would finally be happy of course it didn’t.

👏🏻Any session I missed would leave me riddled with guilt & standing prodding myself in the mirror to check what had changed in that day of course nothing.

👩🏼The Gym became a place that was actually making me feel like c**p as opposed to feeling all healthy, strong & happy. It took me  being honest & admitting to myself that how was acting wasn’t healthy that how I was living wasn’t making me happy & that if it continued I was going to have one very miserable future.

🎉Gradually week by week I started to scale my training back so set myself time limits for the number of training sessions per week & the amount of time I was allowed to spend in the gym. I gradually started being more relaxed with my food & really embracing the 80/20 lifestyle.

💋 It wasn’t easy because there was still a little voice in the back of my head periodically sending old thoughts trying to pull me back to my old ways, but I was able to!bat them away because I knew they weren’t the key to happy. ❤️It took time but eventually I got to where I am now I exist as me I train to be strong & feel good & can eat any food guilt free. I feel healthy & so much happier.

On the left 2015 picture, I had been starving myself by eating (and ferociously counting) 1000 to 1200 calories per day while doing only cardio. My wedding was coming up and I wanted to lose weight. 3 weeks after my wedding, I had put on 10 pounds because the stress was over & I was on binge-mode. There was nothing healthy about the way I was exercising or eating : I just wanted the number on the scale to drop.

I weigh pretty much the same in the 2017, except I run, I do BBG, I hike.. I have found PLEASURE in a healthy fitness lifestyle. I try to eat intuitively and don’t beat myself up for having wine and pizza on a Saturday night. The fact I allow myself to indulge in occasionnal treats keeps me off the binge-train. With BBG, I’ve gained muscle & confidence, and what I appreciate even more, is that it is SUSTAINABLE. 
It’s a work in progress, but Kayla is making the journey FUN, which is all I could ask for!

Well is WAS beginning to look a lot like Christmas.. sadly this cooler weather ends mañana. It’s bitter sweet cause I want it to feel Christmas-y BUT the beach has been calling my name soooo 🤷🏽‍♀️ #floridaproblems If you saw my snap from the weekend then you know that I had a little accident while climbing and basically fell on my ankle which means I haven’t really done any leg workouts in DAYSSSS 😱😭😭 haha.. does make me sad but it’s important to rest.

On the other side of that.. all of my workouts have been upper body so basically I can barely drive or lift a pencil at this point. Hoping I can get a solid leg day in tonight! Also I kinda sorta did a thing 👉🏼 @aroundtheclockfitness 😏😍 k loves ✌🏼✌🏼x

“Do you ACTUALLY eat that?”
If I had a nickel for every time someone asked me that ...
Maybe because I’m a personal trainer or because I have Fitness social media platforms, they tend to assume that the “crazy” food I post isn’t actually consumed by me.
The truth? Long before I was passionate about fitness, food has been a genuine passion of mine- you can ask just about anyone I know!  I’m the friend that people text when they need a restaurant rec., the girl that plots out the food tour of every city I visit, the fiancé who drags @andrewleidal along to every new local food spot  to order as much of the menu as possible with me.
It might sound like this doesn’t align with Fitness whatsoever, but I’d actually argue the opposite.
I think these passions pair perfectly together. Through Fitness, I can feel like I’m staying mindful of my body and through my foodie adventures, like I’m nourishing my soul.  Not giving up my love of trying different foods and cuisines on a regular basis for fitness has allowed me a freedom that’s kept me going all these years. I’ve never gotten too burnt out or been in a long term slump with fitness in over 4 years on this journey for myself. And I think I can genuinely attribute that to lack of restriction. 
So yes, I do ACTUALLY eat that .  And maybe, if you want to find long term success on your fitness journey, you should too 😜 (and stop associating guilt and shame with foods that aren’t 100% clean, natural, organic, gluten m, dairy, buzzword, soy free, raw, non GMO, non flavor, buzzword, other buzzword, toxins, buzzword, chemicals, etc etc 😜😜)
Part of what I work on with my clients is learning how to KEEP the things that are important to them in their lives while adding health and fitness to it- not by replacing one with the other.  This allows for long term adherence and overall better quality of life! It’s time for a mindset shift in the fitness industry- it doesn’t have to be all 5 am workouts, egg whites, and asparagus, my friends.

First off: THIS IS NOT A POST ABOUT QUICK FIXES!!!
PLUS: During the month span between these photos I took an entire week off from exercising entirely!
The greatest change was NOT my fitness regimen! It was my dietary lifestyle.
And news flash: it required me eating MORE food and MORE frequently with a focus on a greater balance of minimally processed sourced carbs, fat, and protein. My biggest change was cutting out INFLAMMATORY foods that though they are not my primary allergens and I can tolerate them... I notice that after a few weeks of minimizing what I know are MY inflammatory foods my entire body functions more optimally. I notice less bloat and distention through my abdomen, I have more energy, I am not so sluggish, I don’t have the major cravings for junk foods when I optimize my dietary regimen. 
Please note: I DO NOT APPROACH FOOD WITH A “DIET” mentality!!!!!!! Between these two photos I still ENJOYED every day and every meal! There was NO over restricting of carbs, calories, or ANYTHING! My focus is not restrictions but ENHANCING the quality of what I eat and eating balanced regularly to fuel my metabolism and keep my hormones and biochemistry at a solid optimal homeostatic levels. 
So WHAT DON’T I eat!?
Grains, gluten, legumes, MSG, processed sugars, inflammatory oils are all SOLID NOs! Dairy is tricky, I cut back on dairy big time during this past month and noticed a lot of benefits. I don’t feel awful eating dairy but it’s borderline. I love gelato. I love good milk chocolate too. Both have emotional triggers for me from the standpoint of choosing to over restrict so I have them occasionally and without guilt.

Basically paleo. Which is a trendy way to saying I eat minimally processed, single ingredient based foods as much as possible. That includes: QUALITY raised animal products for protein (grass fed and organic locally raised if possible), wild caught seafood (if its available affordably), nuts and seeds for healthy fats, organic fruits and vegs for carbs. I supplement with quality supplements from brands like @paleoproproducts (protein powder) and @younglivingeo (BCCAs). Any questions comment below 😉

I get it. There’s a huge physical difference. There’s a 40 pound increase between these two photos (not to mention 🍑 gains.) BUT anorexic Morgan went way deeper than a size. My emotions, my heart and my whole being were consumed. I believed a lie from the devil that my worth was based on how small I was. This lie has taken over in so many women’s lives and it needs to stop. Who decides what “skinny enough” is? Who determines whether a 6 or a 0 is the perfect size? It was a toxic mindset that began from within and no matter how much I gained, it had to end within. My thoughts had to focus on truth. The truth that I am fearfully and wonderfully made by the Lord and my worth is in who He says I am. I had to believe that my beauty did not come from the amount of fat on my body, but from being in love with Jesus. Food had to start fueling me instead of scaring me. **Ultimately, I had to surrender my control and everything I believed about myself to Jesus and let Him heal me- from the inside out.**

It's been a while since my last post but I have been so busy and haven't had the usual time to document what I am eating or doing 🍎 My last weigh in was two weeks ago at 102.5, sooo close to a 10kg loss! 🤗  My eating hasn't been fantastic, but I am going to the gym atleast 4 times a week and doing any walking where I can. I have managed to maintain my weight but tend to fluctuate close to 103, not feeling bad about a half a kilo gain as it could be anything and really it's a small amount to worry over that is not necessary 😫 Feeling a bit better with my food intake this week, the temptations are running high with biscuits and chocolate around, plus having people not support my career change and choices i want, is making me emotional eat 😔There are 12 days until Christmas and I would love to atleast lose 1-1.5kg by then! Time to get my game face on and really plan what I'm eating to fit into my calorie range. .

It's been a while since my last post but I have been so busy and haven't had the usual time to document what I am eating or doing 🍎 My last weigh in was two weeks ago at 102.5, sooo close to a 10kg loss! 🤗 My eating hasn't been fantastic, but I am going to the gym atleast 4 times a week and doing any walking where I can. This one is an amazing crock pot recipe find from @cathy_lemontreedwelling 
INGREDIENTS ✅1 C Truvia Brown Sugar Blend ✅1/4 cup of grass fed butter ✅Pinch of salt ✅3 sticks of cinnamon ✅6 whole cloves ✅1/2 tsp nutmeg ✅ 1/4 tsp ginger ✅ 8 cups of hot water ✅ 2-3 cups dark rum 🎄 combine all ingredients in a large crock pot and stir well 🎄cover and cook on high for 2 hours, then low for 3-6 hours 🎄 serve warm in mugs

So mein Fazit von der Detox-Kur ist, dass ich 1,5 Tage durchgehalten habe🙈 Ich hatte gestern wieder Kopfschmerzen und unglaublich Hunger😄 Wenn ich Hunger hab bin ich unausstehlich☝🏼... Also gabs eine 🥨 und danach gings mir besser😄 #fürmehrrealitätaufinstagram Ich habe jetzt schon zum zweiten Mal so eine Kur probiert und ich muss sagen dass es einfach nichts für mich ist🤷🏼‍♀️ Ich brauch morgens mein Käffchen und meinen grünen Tee 🍵 Außerdem ist das wenige Essen einfach nichts für mich. Klar hätte mein Körper sich nach einer Zeit dran gewöhnt. Aber wenn man so schlechte Laune bekommt und sich einfach nicht gut fühlt warum sollte man das dann weiter machen😌 Respekt an alle die es durchhalten, aber ich zähle da nicht dazu🤷🏼‍♀️... Ich werde mich weiterhin ausgewogen ernähren und dazu gehört auch das ein oder andere Stück Schokolade 🍫😋 #balanceisthekey

Friday vibes 💪 getting back into the gym again after a bit of time off and loving it 💪💪💪 starting to feel my strength improve again and fitness is getting back on track!! I hate the feeling of being unfit, it’s amazing how much strength you lose after only a few weeks off!! But I also think that it’s good to take a break sometimes when your body needs it, it’s all about balance 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽 .

I mentioned this on my story yesterday- I’ve been really struggling with low energy the last month or two. I know that working out regularly actually gives me energy, but getting started is so hard when you’re feeling drained and tired! Winter blues maybe🤷‍♀️
Sometimes I know I’m actually tired and need a rest day...but since every day feels like bedtime lately, it’s harder to distinguish. That’s why I love @jillianmichaels ten minute rule (from her podcast!). Just start the workout. If after ten minutes you haven’t gotten energized and are still miserable— LEAVE! Solid effort, better luck next time, guilt free, give yourself grace kind of attitude.  It helps tremendously because knowing you can stop, you feel less overwhelmed by the act of starting. And most of the time, you’re feeling pretty good ten minutes in! .

The before selfie...before I kinda sorta ran a 5.14 mile....and what I mean by kinda sorta ran isssss....I loaded my body with all my fav supplements to help me push my mile time for one mile, shave off 7 seconds and push my hardest to try to break into the 6 minute range. So, as I was hauling ass, I looked down at my phone to check my time to see how close I was to dying, ahem, flying and that was when dropped my phone. Of course, I grab it immediately, pressed pause FIRST (because I didn’t want my time screwed up even more than the 1.6 seconds it took me to stop and pick it up) then inspected the damage. Let’s just say, the screen looks like an iPhone mosaic, aka, crackedAF. 😭😭😭 So, that time I took to mourn the death of my screen gave my lungs time to breathe and I finished my mile in 5.14 but can’t officially count that time 🤫. However, after aall that mess, I am certain that I will hit my goal of a 6ish mile run in the near future and will make sure my phone is super glued to my hand. #nottodaysatan #feelslikemonday #crackedAF #epicfail #runningmom #fitnessgoal #showup #setgoals

I am feeling much better today and I am so pumped to go work out so I can be half of the rockstar that my challengers have been these past two days! Like seriously you guys. I have three children, and I am a stay at home, home-school mom.

The meal plan saved my life by taking the guesswork out of how much and what to eat.  The 30-minute workouts showed me I didn’t need to put in hours at the gym; I could get amazing results at home and I can take my workouts anywhere. I also love the variety of the workouts.

I am very proud of the fact that I’ve lost over 110 pounds since March of 2016! I am the best version of me yet!

The discipline and confidence I have gained is amazing. I have gained so much muscle, and I feel so strong! Plus, the changes I have made have helped my children and husband get healthier too.

I get it. There’s a huge physical difference. There’s a 40 pound increase between these two photos (not to mention 🍑 gains.) BUT anorexic Morgan went way deeper than a size. My emotions, my heart and my whole being were consumed. I believed a lie from the devil that my worth was based on how small I was. This lie has taken over in so many women’s lives and it needs to stop. Who decides what “skinny enough” is? Who determines whether a 6 or a 0 is the perfect size? It was a toxic mindset that began from within and no matter how much I gained, it had to end within. My thoughts had to focus on truth. The truth that I am fearfully and wonderfully made by the Lord and my worth is in who He says I am. I had to believe that my beauty did not come from the amount of fat on my body, but from being in love with Jesus. Food had to start fueling me instead of scaring me. **Ultimately, I had to surrender my control and everything I believed about myself to Jesus and let Him heal me- from the inside out.**

Oh my gosh y'all. Is anyone else excited😀 for the New Year? Don't get me wrong, ill likely have 2 surgeries in January, but I'm not even concerned with that. What I AM thinking🗯 about is accomplishing something that has plagued me since I was in elementary school🏫...my stomach. Time to flatten it out and define the rest of me at the same time. I’ve trained 3 times in the past 3 weeks,  full body. First week i got a migraine 🤯, last week i got a sinus infection 🤕, now I’m finally feeling okay again 🙏🏾. I haven’t been to the nail salon since before our wedding so these toes most definitely needed it. 🤦🏼‍♀️
I was embarrassed as hell but I’m sure they’ve seen worse lol. (Probs not tho) 
I’ve got dinner in the oven - well, part of it & in the meantime me and my little toes are going to crush a workout so I can officially check in to my boot camp.
Although I had yoga this morning it’s important I am doing the boot camp WITH my ladies so that means TWO sweat sessions for me today. I’m not complaining though.
I absolutely love that my girls are so motivated to hit their goals and to see positive change within themselves. They have no idea how inspired I am bc of them.
They motivate me, hold me accountable and push me to be the best coach I know how to be. 
I will always show up for them, push them and love them but I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again: my favorite part (well...one of my favorite parts) of coaching is that my first priority is always MY journey and helping other women learn that they can be their own priority too is the icing on the cake. I gotta do the accountability check ins too so BRB in 30 minutes 😘
