When planning my workout week I always think about mixing strengthening the muscles and lengthening the muscles. .
I do a mixture of yoga, ballet and pilates. .
Pilates is for me the healthy way of building muscles, it will really get the muscles burning. . .
Ballet is still very tecnically challenging for me (the standing exercises, that is), and often I am not getting properly into each move as I am already thinking about where to place the foot next, when to turn etc. 🙈 I love the Challenge though and maybe one day it will get easier 💛. It is still a good mixture of strengthening and stretching. . .
Yoga is new to me, I love the mixture of muscle work and how it just feels so good with breathing and stretching in between. A couple of times a week I’ll Challenge myself trying to get further into different asanas (poses). Right now I am loving this mixture, but I love creating new exercises too, it’ll keep challenging the body as it keeps the body guessing ✨. Do you plan your week ahead workout wise?
Today we went to my son’s school xmas party, they sang beautifully 🎤. Afterwards we baked Christmas cookies 🍪 🎄! . .
The weather is not so christmassy yet though 🙈, but I do love that deepblue skie this time of Year 💙. .

Where did this weekend go?!? We’ve been so busy cleaning, decorating the house for Christmas, getting up the chrismastree and decorating it, visiting new places including a new shopping mall, washing clothes, and taking time to do yoga 🙈.. Well I guess that’s where the weekend went 😅. .

Yesterday was leg strengthening day for me. Today I stretched out my legs, doing a mix of floorbarre and yoga, to help improve the flexibility. .

Today I was doing a yoga session, while my youngest was taking his nap 😴. It’s a beautiful day outside, so I opened all the windows and let the sun and clean air brush through the house. It felt wonderful, until flies were everywhere... or at least a couple of those annoying ones, that come in and don’t want to leave... the ones who land on you all the time, no matter how many times you wave them off 😡!!! .
Now have you ever done yoga with a couple of those around?!? Well, now I have, and I am telling you it’s quite disturbing sitting in a difficult pose, and then it lands on you and you can’t wave it off 😩... or you are balancing trying to focus and there it is again 😫. .
Anyway I finished my practice and I felt good, I can even smile about it now 😄. Tonight I am teaching a pilates class and then I’m off to Ballet. I am sure I’ll get a good workout in by the end of today 😉🌺.

Having little ones 👦🏼👶🏼 around or a dog, or both 😁, when working out, or working from home, is not always that easy... but I always try to look at the fun side of it, they often get distracted by something after a bit, and there is your chance to get in that 15 or 30 minute workout 🤞🏼. .
Sometimes they'll even join me on the mat for a few minutes and it's so cute 💙💙. I think that it'll teach them that a bit of physical activity, should be part of everyday life.
Maybe you won't quite get that focused session you were hoping for, but little is better than none 💪🏼!!

There is never a perfect time to start. Sometimes we keep pushing things making up excuses like, I am going to start exercising in the new Year... then there is a birthday party coming up and you think, I am just going to wait till after the party, when I have more time, when I am less busy at work, when the kids start School... there are so many excuses! Just start! Remember there is no perfect time 🌞.
Ballet complete and Floor barre and stretching complete too ✔️. Feeling a bit exhausted right now but a nice late lunch will hopefully give me back some energy ⚡️. I think I might take my rest day tomorrow 🙈. Do you work out in the weekend?

How is your monday going?? I just came home from teaching a pilates Ball class, so workout done... although I usually go to ballet class after 👯. Unfortunatly husband had to go to a meeting, so will stay with my kids instead 💕.
