This is a Japanese version of the grilling classic from the American South, which we promise will be just as bone-sucking good as the ribs you’ll find in a Memphis pit barbecue. 🔥 Instead of the traditional slow and low (temperature) method for ribs, with this recipe you braise the ribs until they’re tender, then grill. This way, you’ll get both fall-off-the-bone tenderness and nice caramelization and char; in other words, rib nirvana. 😛 Save the braising liquid; it cooks down into a phenomenal barbecue sauce.
How does this make any sense? Posting smiling little piggies over a slaughter? Weird.

Came across this lovely display of🔪🐮Happy Homicide!🔪🐷 in my local grocery. Happy smiling pig balloons affixed to a display of their mutilated corpses. And we don't even give such a macabre creation a second thought
When it comes to eating animals, we rely on any number of rationalizations and justifications to normalize the underlying absurdity of our actions
And what better way to assuage any discomfort with consuming the bodies and secretions of living beings, than to portray those beings as willing participants in their own demise?-
These messages DO matter. They normalize atrocities. Paint victims as complicit in their own victimization so that we, the perpetrators can get what we want without the guilt. And why not? After all, they’re “asking for it”
For more examples of our depictions of animals as excited and willing participants in their demise, see my in-depth video linked in my 👆🏽bio today. Afterwards go to at: http://www.BiteSizeVegan.com/SuicideFood

Hoje fomos jantar no @badidaparkgourmet.
Just leant out of my car window like a crazy woman to snap this pic of the lovely @lollypopskvor from @chisholm_institute who we have the pleasure of sharing the kitchen with when we make our jams and pickles. Remember her face folks cause she's a young chef going places!
