We haven't bottled a reserve Sangiovese since 2013 which we will also have available, but limited.

“I don’t know anything. And that is why I’m still doing this job. If you know everything, then it’s boring. If you want to learn something, go somewhere else,” says Emmanuel Lassaigne, whose yearly experiments, such as skin-contact fermented whites (forbidden in Champagne), extended élevage of single parcels, and aging wine in Savagnin barrels from his friend Jean-François Ganevat, are playful and relentless explorations of the terroir of Montgueux. bravo. may incertitude rule our lives, even in the heart of probably the world’s strictest appellation. if nobody breaks rules, we will never know what could be achieved.
Chai: (pronounced "shay") is a French word for a wine storeroom; usually it refers to an aboveground room rather than an underground cellar (although I've also seen the term "underground chai"). Chai also has the connotation of a barrel storage room vs. bottle storage.
Tasting every barrel with Merlot 2016 - French, Slavonian, American and Swedish oak. Interesting differences! The French and Swedish ones were the winners on my palate, with finer grained tannins and more complexity.
What a lovely afternoon for a glass of rosé. Chatelaine Louise is back in Cellar Door today armed with plenty of Amaretti di Lechte for your delectation. There's more about these complementary confections and our upcoming Pinot Barrel tastings in the latest blog (link in bio). Saluti!
Experience wines thieved directly from our barrels in our Barrel Cellar. Taste the difference between our Generations and District Cabernets still maturing in tightly- grained French Oak, and make a side-by-side comparison with their finished counterparts from earlier vintages. $40 per person, complimentary for Raymond Wine Club Members and up to 3 guests (1 per year). #napavalley#winetasting#wineoclock#barreltasting#cabernetsauvignon .
