Everyday I get inspired by people. A few years ago, I quickly realized that I needs to set bigger goals for myself in every aspect in life. Fitness wise, business wise, relationship wise, etc.
Everyday for the last 4 years there was a Mercedes-Benz dealership on the way to my gym. I would drive by and say to myself, "One day I'm gonna be able to walk in here and buy my dream car. Until then I'm just gonna put my head down and keep working."
Last night that dream came true. I achieved one of my goals. I was able to buy my dream car. A G63 AMG 😍
For the past 4 years I've been working my ass off. The journey has been so rewarding. I ended up learning so much about myself, hard work, patience, and dedication. It's crazy how you can apply all of the lessons you learn in fitness to everyday things in life.
The honest truth is, owning the car is the icing on the cake. The true reward is achieving the goal I set for myself 🙏🏽🏆🌟💯 Now, it's time to set new goals. Let's all dream big & hustle together 💪🏽What are your goals??
The last week and a half has been indulgence on indulgence in the way of food and drink consumption and very little in the way of structured exercise. Those of you who've been following my whole journey will probably recognise that my progress isn't linear - in the long term yes, it is but in the short term it's a series of two steps forward and one step backward. There is no doubt I've gained a kg or two over the last week, however, it's important for me to not focus on the short term and to reflect on the long term progress and the long term goals. If I focus on the short term I get into a funk and it spirals and impacts every aspect of my life, not just my fitness. So, mostly as motivation to myself I am posting a longer term progress picture to reflect on the long term progress and not focus on the short term slip. The left is almost 90kg and before I started @kayla_itsines #bbg (April 2016) and the right is now and about 78/79kg

baked turmeric chicken [in a ziplock bag add 2 tbsp turmeric, 1 tbsp curry powder, 1-2 tbsp nooch, 1 tsp cayenne, garlic powder, @sfsaltco pink Himalayan sea salt, pepper. Place chicken breast + 1 tbsp @primalkitchenfoods avo oil inside, zip bag closed and shake well. Bake at 350 for 15-20 min or until no longer pink inside. Squeeze fresh lemon juice over the top! 😋 bed of green, raw beets, carrots, avo, almonds, steamed broccoli, hemp seeds+ coconut lime tahini (few posts back) + actually ended up having @healthwarrior pumpkin seed honey cracked pepper turmeric superfood bar while dictating the last KUBs of my body rotation 😊🍃

It's time to show off your wheels for Day 6 of #beBulldogStrong ! As I said yesterday, I very much enjoy a middle split, much like I enjoy Russell Crowe circa Gladiator, especially that scene when he's in the ring, fighting for his life and looking all hot and sweaty and dirty, and then Joaquin Phoenix's asshole character sashays down and is all "who are you?" and Russell turns around and shakes his finger "wait who the hell are YOU?" I think. Anyway, I enjoy him a lot there. All ass-kicking and back-talking and looking hot and dirty and hot. Um, what was I talking about? Wheel pose? Who cares about wheel pose?

Last little indulgence before my 7-day cleanse, starting tomorrow. This time will be a Ayurvedic cleanse. I'm a Pitta.🔥Pitta dosha type controls digestion, metabolism and energy production and we tend to be fiery in nature so sticking to cooling foods works best to keep us in balance. I plan to give myself a break from exercise this week (super difficult for me!) and resting as much as possible to let my body rejuvenate.
Cleansing is not just a physical process, but also mental and emotional.🙏🏻📿

Ive been wanting to make this meal all week and I finally got the chance! Between classes and running around after my nanny kids all day I very rarely get the chance to cook for myself.
I sautéed some carrots, chickpeas & black beans on the skillet. Added some diced (canned) tomatoes and let it simmer on a low heat for about 20ish minutes, while adding some water to the simmer. Seasoned it with salt, pepper, dried basil & dried oregano.
Placed that on top of a bed of mixed greens with some avocado.
BAM ⚡️✨EASY. DONE.
I was shocked at how yummy this turned out! I'll definitely be making this again! 🤤😍
Just finished my first @kayla_itsines BBG workout that I've done in a while and it felt amazing 💁🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽 Played on my hands some afterwords and look what I did 😱 omg. I've atartes incorporating @ab_asanas exercises while I'm on the trx. And man oh man is it changing my shoulder and core strength!!! I can't wait till I can actually hold it 😍😍😍 #aloyoga

Another day down ✔️ hope you all are having a great day. I woke up and went to this new women's bible study I started going to last week and i almost didn't work out when I got home but then I started to think, this is life enjoy all you can do that's beneficial! Sure I wanted to come home and rest before I head on to do other things I have to do today but I'm alive and healthy why not do something good for my body like work out? Each day when I go into the gym or post on here my heart just explodes! You wanna know why? Because I feel so blessed to be able to work on myself and feel good about myself because for years I didn't. Not only that but I get to inspire and motivate people to get up and better their life by living a healthy lifestyle! I knew all my struggles with self love weren't for nothing because I know how the other end feels and I will do everything I can to make sure no one ever feels like that ❤️
BULKING SEASON IS ON BOYS! 🏋🏽♀️I really need to grow my calves more lol, compared to my quads they look so tiny! Trying to make the transition from cutting to bulking (and viceversa) it's always hard for me, it takes a while for my body to get used to it
‼️Gotta get my bicep flex on‼️ These bad boys just got werked!! We're going away in 2 weeks and this is where my biggest push is coming from at the moment. It's my motivation to give it my all! Finallyyy F R I D A Y 🌟 // I did notttt want to work out this morning - I didn't get much sleep last night + was trying to talk myself into skipping this morning and just sleeping a little bit more. But I probably would have only gotten 30, maybe 45 min of extra sleep - and STILL would have been just as tired PLUS feel bad bc I didn't even work out → not worth it! So I got it done + felt great + so happy that I pushed myself ⚡️
