Manically rushing to the gym between split shifts like a crazy person. 😂🙋🏻 // I squished in Arms Week 12 & 15 mins of random leg/cardio moves. 💦 I'm going to the races tomorrow so I'm desperately trying to preserve my fake tan 🙏🏼 but I've got some super attractive white patches under my armpits now - yum! 👌🏼 Turns out sweating out your own body weight & self tanner isn't the best combo, who knew? 🤔🤷🏻♀️😝 Now to shower in about 3 seconds flat 🚿 & back to werk. 🚗 TGIF, is all I can say! A few cheeky champers at the races tomorrow will be very welcome! 🥂✨🐎 I still need to get an outfit sorted, so that'll be this arvo's project. 😳👗👠 I love how I'm perfectly capable of sorting out tomorrow's gym clothes, down to the damn socks... but can't organise something nice. 🙄 #cannotgirl 😂

Today I was reminded that we are "called to be free" (Gal 5:13) - not to be stuck in sin. Because of Jesus, we are saints who sin, not sinners who try to act saintly. We are gifted freedom from our bondage to sin, but so often I find myself weighed down in it, or reverting back to it or feeling stuck by it. How refreshing and blissful that Jesus gives us F R E E D O M 🙌🏼 "Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires" (5:24) We are free to have and grow in love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, gentleness, faithfulness, and self control. "It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery" (5:1)

When you haven't seen your girl in 4 months you train the legs and booty hard and catch up on everything in life - which takes about 4 hours (an hour for every month it's been, I guess?). 🔥🙊 Had a solid 2 hour workout, followed by an extended stretching sesh, and of course a Starbs visit to do the real catching up!! Gosh I've missed @commandosandcake in my life !! 😍
Mak is a beast at the gym, and it was SO AMAZING to be able to actually workout and (for the most part) be able to do everything she wanted me to. Guys - I even did squats with 10lb plates !!! 🏋🏼♀️ While that might not seem exciting to you, for me that was a huge feat for my shoulder/arm/back, and not something I've ever done before. I'm getting stronger and stronger each and every day, which makes me so happy! My injury has set me back for so long, but I'm finally getting to a point where I can branch out and try new things. Mak helped me with a lot of that today 🙌🏼💗 iLu girl!

There's so much craziness happening in the world! 😣 Anger, violence, abuse, murder, punishment. Brokenness. It all comes down to one thing. EGO. That thing that gives us a false sense of security and hurts us more than it helps us. Your ego is not your amigo! 🚫👬 We look for peace in all the wrong places instead of taking responsibility and cultivating in within ourselves. "Ego says, once everything falls into place, I'll feel peace. Spirit says, find your peace, and then everything falls into place." Big egos are big shields for lots of empty space. ⭕ So how do we do our part to make the world a little bit kinder? It's much easier than we think and entails these simple words: "I miss you." "I love you." "I'm sorry." Starve your ego and you will feed your soul. ✨
**I earned $60.00 my first month as a coach.** Wait, what?! For all that work? 🙉 The truth is, those 60 dollars meant MORE to me than every single dollar I'd earned previously. 🙏🏻 I finally understood the meaning of working for a passion vs. working for a paycheck. Just like with a health & fitness journey, it takes patience to stay the course and trust the process because there are a lot of shiny objects out there -- but giving up is the easy way out and I'm SO glad I didn't! ✌🏻💕 #coachlife

The truth is that every day won't feel like a fitness fairytale, so don't be so hard on yourself (**taking mental notes to practice what I'm preaching here😂). On days when you are mentally or physically exhausted, listen to your body. Taking that extra time to recover may help you reach your fitness goal faster (hi foam roller!) and it will allow you to continue to enjoy the process as well. Sometimes, that's all you need to hear...is that it's okay if the process has it's hiccups; just remember to check back in with yourself often, to make sure you're staying on track with your goals!😉

I’m always fighting the battle of immediate versus long-term gratification, so I try to find ways to immediately remind myself of the long-term plan by writing little messages on my wrist. It can be anything from '4-8,' because I believe it takes four to eight weeks for results of working out regularly to show, to 'thank you,' which is a reminder that I’ll thank myself later if I stick with my plan.

To be honest, when I started this whole fitness thing, I thought a year and a half in I would have my dream body. I thought, "if I stay really focused and work hard, there's no reason it won't happen" and there are even some people who will tell you that exact thing. And there is some truth to it.. to an extent. You do control a lot of your success and results when it comes to health and fitness. But there are a few things you can't control .. life happens, distractions are unavoidable, your body may have medical issues you have to combat, all these things can slow your progress. So when I started, I'm not sure that I expected all of these factors and so I had very high expectations. But here I am, a year and a half in, 10 pounds down from my starting point but still 15 pounds/2-3 pant sizes from where I want to be. But what's most surprising about where I'm at is that I am OKAY with that. I've accepted this process is going slower than I planned but I've also reached a point where this is a part of my DAILY LIFE now, not just a short phase in my life. Don't get me wrong... there are days where I lack motivation or when I feel frustrated that I'm not where I want to be. But ultimately, my mindset is long-term focused, so I have a short pity party with my bff, consume a little too much McDonald's, then I give myself a pep talk and get back to it. So I guess what I'm trying to say is... be realistic with yourself and give yourself grace in your journey. Not everyone will have an amazing 12 week transformation ... but even if you don't, it doesn't mean that you haven't put in the work and can't be proud of yourself. Celebrate EVERY success - managing 10 seconds longer in your plank, losing 2 pounds in a month, getting your nutrition just that much more honed in. Because if you're gonna stick this out for the long haul, you got to have enough successes to keep your fire lit!

You hear me talk a lot about ditch the scale, blah- blah –blah 🙊But there is SO much more to this- because I just want to help people NOT be like me ✌️🙁I used to be a freaking SLAVE to the scale 🔗I would wake up in the morning and weigh myself and then again before I went to bed 🛏I used to LIVE by it👎 At my sickest I was over 20 pounds less then I weigh now 😬😬I don’t know what I would do back then if I saw my number today 😭 No- you know what I DO know ✋️I would of done what I used to do 👎Restrict until I couldn’t take it anymore 🙀Until I had to nap daily because I had no energy- or would take pills to even get the energy to go to class or function 😿Until I would FAIL👎, end up binging🍪🍩🍰, and then make myself sick because I felt so guilty 👤😥It was this endless cycle 💔💔I finally got help- but it really only treated the symptoms of the disease🚫🚫I stopped that specific cycle ♻️but then I turned to the gym 💪for hours, would take pills 💊, go on crazy cleanses🕳💣 and diets because I never treated the real problem- ME💕💕 That was until my first son 💙and I vowed to myself that I would NOT go back to that 💔✋️That was really when coaching stepped into my life and these at home fitness programs that showed me that I could be actually HEALTHY 🙌 and still reach my GOALS👏🙌It also had a HUGE element that the gym and just eating healthy didn’t have- accountability, support, and changing me from the inside out.💋💕THAT more then anything is the piece I just want to shout from the roof tops and help ALLLLL the people🙌🙌Seriously if you are where I was PLEASE reach out to me📲 💌Even if you aren’t there yet- THAT is when I want to speak to you❤️❤️Before you permanently damage your body like I did🚫Before you hit rock bottom- let’s chat💕
No worries friends, I've got a healthy ❤️. Hah some of the things I had to learn throughout my exercise physiology /sports nutrition masters program and dietetic internship as an #rd2be , may not be something I ever have to do/use again, if I'm honest. But I do have to say I'm so glad I went through it all because I gained a lot of life experience and learned things like the importance of staying science based in what I preach on nutrition...& juggling being a full time student, intern, and all I do with @freshfitnhealthy while somehow staying sane 😛 Oh and at least I know I CAN read an EKG and hook myself up to one if needed 😬 (yeah our class was verrry comfortable with each other by the end with all the labs we had to do!)

I took the photo on the left on July 27th, 2015 immediately after I returned from a two-week long vacation in Hawaii. I was insecure about the way I looked, felt, and my athletic ability... so I started BBG 1.0. Little did I know that this #bbgcommunity would draw me in to do so much more than the original 12 weeks I had planned. I made it through 64 weeks of BBG 1.0 and 2.0 until I switched over to more weight lifting. I restarted BBG again in January 2017 for the #12weekchallenge while training for a marathon, then started #bbgstronger on June 12th. So if my math is correct, I'm on my 83th week of BBG 😱 if you're hesitant to try BBG for one reason or another, just freaking go for it. You may love it as much as I do ☺️ #bbgprogress @kayla_itsines
Coming off a foot fracture, I learned I have some "weirdness" in the ball of my foot that causes some nerves to get pinched when too much pressure is applied. Stepping on a nail straight up at times? I would call that a close description 😏Doc then had me fitted for orthotics. I wasn't sure what they'd feel like or how my foot would respond. They came in today which was perfect timing for my Thursday #liss . Well, these did not disappoint. A nice 3.2 mile walk felt like nothing...literally walking on air. Orthotics for the win 👟🙌🏼

So I changed my Instagram name again 😋 back to @theresajade11 , which is what I started out with when I first got Instagram. When I started on my fitness and health I became @tjgetshealthy11 , and went on to lose 30+kg with that name. My account was all about fitness and reaching my goals. When I reached those goals, I became @tjfitinaus11 , and still posted a lot of fitness and health based stuff but started mixing in some everyday life stuff too 🍸🙌🏻🚗💘 so now come full circle back to here, where I am just going to post whatever I feel like posting 😘 so happy Friday guys!
