Manically rushing to the gym between split shifts like a crazy person. ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ™‹๐Ÿป // I squished in Arms Week 12 & 15 mins of random leg/cardio moves. ๐Ÿ’ฆ I'm going to the races tomorrow so I'm desperately trying to preserve my fake tan ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿผ but I've got some super attractive white patches under my armpits now - yum! ๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿผ Turns out sweating out your own body weight & self tanner isn't the best combo, who knew? ๐Ÿค”๐Ÿคท๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿ˜ Now to shower in about 3 seconds flat ๐Ÿšฟ & back to werk. ๐Ÿš— TGIF, is all I can say! Hey guys so I went MIA again(shocker) but for a good reason! It was my 22 birthday yesterday! ๐Ÿป๐ŸŽ‰๐Ÿ’ƒ๐Ÿผ had a blast with friends and family enjoying lots of food and of course some beer๐Ÿ˜… I know I wanted to finish week 12 off strong and Ik this week totally did some damage but I feel I've come so far and I've never been more comfortable in my body then I have this past year๐Ÿค˜๐Ÿฝit's all about appreciating the work you've done because it takes total strength, mental and physical, to change your lifestyle completely. Still super to be finishing round 3 regardless even if there isn't a DRAMATIC physical difference I did make a huge difference loving my body๐Ÿ˜

When you haven't seen your girl in 4 months you train the legs and booty hard and catch up on everything in life - which takes about 4 hours (an hour for every month it's been, I guess?). ๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ™Š Had a solid 2 hour workout, followed by an extended stretching sesh, and of course a Starbs visit to do the real catching up!! Gosh I've missed @commandosandcake in my life !! ๐Ÿ˜

Mak is a beast at the gym, and it was SO AMAZING to be able to actually workout and (for the most part) be able to do everything she wanted me to. Guys - I even did squats with 10lb plates !!! ๐Ÿ‹๐Ÿผโ€โ™€๏ธ While that might not seem exciting to you, for me that was a huge feat for my shoulder/arm/back, and not something I've ever done before. I'm getting stronger and stronger each and every day, which makes me so happy! My injury has set me back for so long, but I'm finally getting to a point where I can branch out and try new things. Mak helped me with a lot of that today ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ’— iLu girl!

There's so much craziness happening in the world! ๐Ÿ˜ฃ Anger, violence, abuse, murder, punishment. Brokenness. It all comes down to one thing. EGO. That thing that gives us a false sense of security and hurts us more than it helps us. Your ego is not your amigo! ๐Ÿšซ๐Ÿ‘ฌ We look for peace in all the wrong places instead of taking responsibility and cultivating in within ourselves. "Ego says, once everything falls into place, I'll feel peace. Spirit says, find your peace, and then everything falls into place." Big egos are big shields for lots of empty space. โญ• So how do we do our part to make the world a little bit kinder? It's much easier than we think and entails these simple words: "I miss you." "I love you." "I'm sorry." Starve your ego and you will feed your soul. โœจ

The truth is that every day won't feel like a fitness fairytale, so don't be so hard on yourself (**taking mental notes to practice what I'm preaching here๐Ÿ˜‚). On days when you are mentally or physically exhausted, listen to your body. Taking that extra time to recover may help you reach your fitness goal faster (hi foam roller!) and it will allow you to continue to enjoy the process as well. Sometimes, that's all you need to hear...is that it's okay if the process has it's hiccups; just remember to check back in with yourself often, to make sure you're staying on track with your goals!๐Ÿ˜‰

Iโ€™m always fighting the battle of immediate versus long-term gratification, so I try to find ways to immediately remind myself of the long-term plan by writing little messages on my wrist. It can be anything from '4-8,' because I believe it takes four to eight weeks for results of working out regularly to show, to 'thank you,' which is a reminder that Iโ€™ll thank myself later if I stick with my plan.

The truth is that every day won't feel like a fitness fairytale, so don't be so hard on yourself (**taking mental notes to practice what I'm preaching here๐Ÿ˜‚). On days when you are mentally or physically exhausted, listen to your body. Taking that extra time to recover may help you reach your fitness goal faster (hi foam roller!) and it will allow you to continue to enjoy the process as well. Sometimes, that's all you need to hear...is that it's okay if the process has it's hiccups; just remember to check back in with yourself often, to make sure you're staying on track with your goals!๐Ÿ˜‰ . โ˜€Write down your goals and look at that list oftenโ˜€ . Iโ€™m always fighting the battle of immediate versus long-term gratification, so I try to find ways to immediately remind myself of the long-term plan by writing little messages on my wrist. It can be anything from '4-8,' because I believe it takes four to eight weeks for results of working out regularly to show, to 'thank you,' which is a reminder that Iโ€™ll thank myself later if I stick with my plan. . . To be honest, when I started this whole fitness thing, I thought a year and a half in I would have my dream body. I thought, "if I stay really focused and work hard, there's no reason it won't happen" and there are even some people who will tell you that exact thing. And there is some truth to it.. to an extent. You do control a lot of your success and results when it comes to health and fitness. But there are a few things you can't control .. life happens, distractions are unavoidable, your body may have medical issues you have to combat, all these things can slow your progress. So when I started, I'm not sure that I expected all of these factors and so I had very high expectations. But here I am, a year and a half in, 10 pounds down from my starting point but still 15 pounds/2-3 pant sizes from where I want to be. But what's most surprising about where I'm at is that I am OKAY with that. I've accepted this process is going slower than I planned but I've also reached a point where this is a part of my DAILY LIFE now, not just a short phase in my life. Don't get me wrong... there are days where I lack motivation or when I feel frustrated that I'm not where I want to be. But ultimately, my mindset is long-term focused, so I have a short pity party with my bff, consume a little too much McDonald's, then I give myself a pep talk and get back to it. So I guess what I'm trying to say is... be realistic with yourself and give yourself grace in your journey. Not everyone will have an amazing 12 week transformation ... but even if you don't, it doesn't mean that you haven't put in the work and can't be proud of yourself. Celebrate EVERY success - managing 10 seconds longer in your plank, losing 2 pounds in a month, getting your nutrition just that much more honed in. Because if you're gonna stick this out for the long haul, you got to have enough successes to keep your fire lit!

WOW. The TIU Nutrition Plan always gets me! The oat breakfast bar (minus the blueberries) was SO GOOD. In Cookies We Trust๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธI scribbled down a recipe for chocolate chip cookies two nights ago that was in my head, and I have been dreaming about giving them a whirl ever since! Got home this evening and immediately whipped these babies up. They turned out thinner than I planned for (almost like a wafer), but they seriously taste soo buttery and delicious! They're sweetened only with coconut sugar and are dairy and gluten free, so they're allergen friendly!! You hear me talk a lot about ditch the scale, blah- blah โ€“blah ๐Ÿ™ŠBut there is SO much more to this- because I just want to help people NOT be like me โœŒ๏ธ๐Ÿ™I used to be a freaking SLAVE to the scale ๐Ÿ”—I would wake up in the morning and weigh myself and then again before I went to bed ๐Ÿ›I used to LIVE by it๐Ÿ‘Ž At my sickest I was over 20 pounds less then I weigh now ๐Ÿ˜ฌ๐Ÿ˜ฌI donโ€™t know what I would do back then if I saw my number today ๐Ÿ˜ญ No- you know what I DO know โœ‹๏ธI would of done what I used to do ๐Ÿ‘ŽRestrict until I couldnโ€™t take it anymore ๐Ÿ™€Until I had to nap daily because I had no energy- or would take pills to even get the energy to go to class or function ๐Ÿ˜ฟUntil I would FAIL๐Ÿ‘Ž, end up binging๐Ÿช๐Ÿฉ๐Ÿฐ, and then make myself sick because I felt so guilty ๐Ÿ‘ค๐Ÿ˜ฅIt was this endless cycle ๐Ÿ’”๐Ÿ’”I finally got help- but it really only treated the symptoms of the disease๐Ÿšซ๐ŸšซI stopped that specific cycle โ™ป๏ธbut then I turned to the gym ๐Ÿ’ชfor hours, would take pills ๐Ÿ’Š, go on crazy cleanses๐Ÿ•ณ๐Ÿ’ฃ and diets because I never treated the real problem- ME๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ’• That was until my first son ๐Ÿ’™and I vowed to myself that I would NOT go back to that ๐Ÿ’”โœ‹๏ธThat was really when coaching stepped into my life and these at home fitness programs that showed me that I could be actually HEALTHY ๐Ÿ™Œ and still reach my GOALS๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ™ŒIt also had a HUGE element that the gym and just eating healthy didnโ€™t have- accountability, support, and changing me from the inside out.๐Ÿ’‹๐Ÿ’•THAT more then anything is the piece I just want to shout from the roof tops and help ALLLLL the people๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿ™ŒSeriously if you are where I was PLEASE reach out to me๐Ÿ“ฒ ๐Ÿ’ŒEven if you arenโ€™t there yet- THAT is when I want to speak to youโค๏ธโค๏ธBefore you permanently damage your body like I did๐ŸšซBefore you hit rock bottom- letโ€™s chat๐Ÿ’•

I took the photo on the left on July 27th, 2015 immediately after I returned from a two-week long vacation in Hawaii. I was insecure about the way I looked, felt, and my athletic ability... so I started BBG 1.0. Little did I know that this #bbgcommunity would draw me in to do so much more than the original 12 weeks I had planned. I made it through 64 weeks of BBG 1.0 and 2.0 until I switched over to more weight lifting. I restarted BBG again in January 2017 for the #12weekchallenge while training for a marathon, then started #bbgstronger on June 12th. So if my math is correct, I'm on my 83th week of BBG ๐Ÿ˜ฑ if you're hesitant to try BBG for one reason or another, just freaking go for it. I would call that a close description ๐Ÿ˜Doc then had me fitted for orthotics. I wasn't sure what they'd feel like or how my foot would respond. They came in today which was perfect timing for my Thursday #liss. Well, these did not disappoint. A nice 3.2 mile walk felt like nothing...literally walking on air. The reason why I decided to restart this week was because of these circuits but I'm very proud to say they were completed today ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿ˜„ So much SWEAT ! The light red color on my buttcheeks was the only part of my pants that were not wet ! Lol. My arms are jello. Anyone else feel something in their back when starting leg lifts too fast ? On the left I was eating 1400 kcal and binge eating, because I was mentally not in a good place. Now I have recovered my metabolism to a point where I can easily eat over 2000 kcal a day.  I don't binge eat anymore. I eat real healthy food and still have treats.  I forgive myself for having believed for so long, that I was not good enough. The difference between these pictures can not be measured by scale or numbers. I can say that I FEEL comfortable, good, happy and confident in my own skin - and nothing in this world can beat that.

Helloooo sorry for bad quality I tried to get a video at crossfit but I of course cropped myself out of the whole thing ๐Ÿ™„ the worstttt so big new for me: PR back squat heyyyyyy ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿฝ๐Ÿ‘ I'm up 40lb from my previous 1 rep maximum from February! What the!! Gains baby. So my new PR is 225 without struggling or getting stuck. Thanks to my coaches for being there in case I crashed and for making me out on more plates I'm almost to 2x BW and that's pretty sweet. Anyway I'm just proud of my progress and taking into account I just had a back injury 3 months ago!! Here is some awesome accessory work: DB OH single arm squats. Just a heads up, you're going to want to use a ๐Ÿฅ„ because once you take a bite you'll be shoveling this salad up! A handful of fresh spinach, about a half cup of blueberries and strawberries (each), a small sweet potato (w/o the skin), toss on some pecans and top with poppyseed dressing ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿผ This is about a 45g of carbs dinner for me.
