Is it Friday yet?! 😩 I had bad dreams last night, morning came too soon, I started my workout later than intended, my car broke down, and I was in a rush out the door to run errands so I’m out in public in my sweaty workout gear & no makeup. 🤦🏼‍♀️ I’m a flustered mess.

I got it done first thing this morning. I’m glad I did because after the shit show that unfolded after 7:30AM, I probably would’ve written this day off as a loss.

This is why I prioritize my workouts first thing in the morning. Life can’t get in the way of it’s the first thing you do! And now that Life has thrown me some curve balls, I’m in a better frame of mind to tackle them.

It’s amazing the things that you can hide behind a smile. I’ve often been told “You suffer from anxiety & depression? No way! You look SO happy.” However, there’s a lot of suffering and pain behind this smile. Just because someone may look a certain way on the outside doesn’t mean it matches the inside. Same thing goes with viewing someone’s profile. Sometimes people only post what they want you to see and when all is well. I want you to know that it’s ok to be down, it’s ok to hurt, it’s ok to cry, and it’s ok to feel broken sometimes. 
Life isn’t always easy and sometimes you feel worlds away from what or where you would like to be. For my mamas out there who are suffering, it’s ok to let it show. I used to be the “strong” type who held it all in and wouldn’t tell a soul what I was going through-until recently. I realized sometimes being strong meant coming to terms with what or whom is bringing you down. Depression and anxiety is a tough battle to fight alone. 
Stop smiling through the pain and shed a tear, reach out to someone, and scream if you have to. I’m here for you and I thank you all for being here for me. You’re not just my followers, you’re my friends and, in some sense, my family. 💕

With all this being said, you never know what someone may be going through or the battles they are facing. Always be kind. 💜

OH MY GOSH. Just gave @kelseywells banana + strawberry smoothie recipe a try (substituted the banana for blueberries) and it’s heaven! • 3/4 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk
• 1/4 cup oatmeal
• 1 scoop vanilla protein powder
• 2 tsp honey
• handful of frozen blueberries (or 1/2 frozen banana from her recipe)
• 1 cup frozen strawberries
• *NO ice! The frozen fruit makes the smoothie perfect thick and delish!

I woke up this morning not being able to lift my one arm from the vaccine I got yesterday at the doctor’s and just feeling really tired and run down. Matcha Overnight Oats! 😍 🍵 🍓 If you like matcha, you have to try this bowl! It has the perfect amount of matcha flavor and sweetness, and it’s loaded with antioxidants, vitamins, healthy fats, and fiber. 👏🏼👏🏼 Matcha also gives a great energy boost. 😴 Mia woke up at 5am this morning 👧🏼 💤 A little extra kick ⚡️is definitely needed this morning. These oats are vegan, gluten free, dairy free, and refined sugar free! 👍🏻
👉🏼 Mix 3/4 cup @365bywholefoods rolled oats, 1 tsp @traderjoes matcha powder, 1 tsp @sanas.kitchen date molasses (or maple syrup), 1/2 tsp chia seeds, and 1/2 tsp ground flaxseeds. Add 1 cup of @malkorganics unsweetened vanilla almond milk and mix well. Let the oats sit in the fridge overnight in a sealed container. These oats are vegan, gluten free, dairy free, and refined sugar free! 👍🏻 👉🏼 Mix 3/4 cup @365bywholefoods rolled oats, 1 tsp @traderjoes matcha powder, 1 tsp @sanas.kitchen date molasses (or maple syrup), 1/2 tsp chia seeds, and 1/2 tsp ground flaxseeds. Add 1 cup of @malkorganics unsweetened vanilla almond milk and mix well. Let the oats sit in the fridge overnight in a sealed container. Buenos días ☀️ Estoy feliz porque a Mari le gusta su nido, la primera semana tenía temor de entrar, tan luego veía la puerta quería que la cargue, pero esta semana ha sido diferente, tiene muchas ganas de ir y jugar con su amiguitos, es más cuando pasamos un sábado por su nido ella quiere entrar jajaja ❤️.
Aún entro con ella, la veo un rato y a los 15 min me voy, lo más mas seguro es que en las próximas semanas me despida de Mari en la puerta 😢.
Todo es un proceso de adaptación lo importante es de que ella esté feliz 😍.

LISS day today, and I was inspired by @learning2loveburpees ‘s post! I tried a 35 minute treadmill walk at a 10% incline (couldn’t do 12% 😭), at 3.5mph. It was KILLER. Made me miss my hikes too!

NO ME APURES, POR FAVOR... No sé si este verano voy a aprovechar el calor para sacarle el pañal, no voy a cambiarle la mamadera de la noche por un vasito, como algunos me recomiendan. Las barandas de su cuna todavía siguen ahí, firmes, atajándola durante las noches. Y la verdad es que, por ahora, así estamos bien. No me preocupa lo que me digan, la verdad es que no me preocupa nada, pero me pregunto porqué cuando cumplen dos años hay que empezar a considerarlos adultos y arrebatarles todo eso que tanto les gusta, que les da seguridad, que necesitan. ¿No será mucho? 
Prefiero dejar que todo fluya, que las cosas sigan, no apurarla, no apurarme ni dejar que me apuren. Ya va a crecer, y este tiempo no va a volver. Porque el tiempo no vuelve. Es lo único que no vuelve. ¿Será por eso que vivimos apurándolos? ¿Por este temita de que el tiempo no vuelve? Los apuramos para que empiecen a caminar y cuando ya caminan queremos que caminen más rápido, "porque dale, que no llegamos". También los apuramos para que se metan a bañar y después para que salgan "porque estoy cansada, quiero que termine el día". Les pedimos que coman más rápido "porque se te va a enfriar" y el cuento antes de dormir también se lo contamos rápido "porque yo también me quiero ir a dormir". El tiempo sin tiempo en el que viven ellos, esa suerte de nebulosa en donde flotan en el tiempo presente, queda contaminado por ese ritmo acelerado en el que vivimos los adultos. Porque el tiempo no vuelve, cierto. 
Este es el mensaje que transmitimos:
No pierdas el tiempo mirando los árboles mientras caminamos porque caminás más lento y llegamos tarde; no pierdas el tiempo jugando a que estás en una barca en el medio del océano, porque estás en la bañadera de casa y quiero que salgas así termina el día. No pierdas el tiempo tocando la comida, descubriendo sabores y manchándote, porque después hay que cambiarte de nuevo y estoy cansada, me quiero ir a dormir. Lo que ellos aprenden, entonces, es que está mal perder el tiempo, que no hay tiempo de jugar, de observar, de descubrir. Que hay que vivir apurados, que hay que apurarse para vivir. - Arroz integral 🍚.
- Verduras: vainita, zanahoria 🥕 y choclo 🌽. * La col clasifica como un aliado del organismo contra el cáncer. Es también una fuente excelente de vitamina C, fibra, potasio, entre otros. Comparando con el resto de los vegetales, ofrece lo mejor * Las personas con anemia pueden beneficiarse considerablemente del consumo de pimientos rojos, gracias a su alto contenido en vitamina C, esta verdura favorece la absorción del hierro de los alimentos en el tubo digestivo.

I’ve been posting about how I am a few weeks into a cut but I never posted updated bulking pics! You can call it “building” if that sounds better to you than “bulking” 😆 It’s simply eating slightly above your maintenance calories with adequate protein while focusing on progressive overload in your training in an effort to increase muscle mass (and some extra fat is pretty inevitable too). I actually ended my cut at 11 weeks in, but didn’t take pics till a couple weeks later- thus labeled week 13- after 2 weeks of slightly reduced cals). I ended my bulk hovering around 114 lbs- but that was after the holidays and my weight really jumped up suddenly and stayed there- was feeling really fluffy at the end but feel a lot better right now

➡️ Progressive overload means you are increasing your volume and/or intensity of training over time (through more weight, sets, reps, frequency, or shorter rest breaks- or a combination of some or all of those factors)

➡️ In other words if you want your muscles to grow, you need to make them work harder than they are used to. If you keep doing the same training volume at the same weight, your muscle growth will stop once your body has strengthened and adapted to that training stimulus

➡️ Bulking is actually really fun because it switches your mindset to improved strength and athletic performance while being HAPPY to see the scale go up. Dieting wears on you and it’s hard to not get hyper focused on getting “smaller”. It’s refreshing to get excited over seeing increases in strength and muscle size. Recently I’ve been having some strength focused days (3-5 reps) in addition to hypertrophy days (8-12 reps) and loving it!

Without a doubt my absolute favorite move from @alexia_clark full body today!!! 🙌🏼🙌🏼👏🏼👏🏼🎉 Now let me say this - the circuit calls for 50-60 seconds a move but don’t be afraid to change this for your level. I did 40 seconds per side. Why? Because I am working on my core strength and it is not strong enough yet for minute rounds. As you watch this video you’ll see that I start to have trouble keeping my core engaged (see the coning) and doing an exercise with poor form just to hit a number does no good 🙅🏼‍♀️🙅🏼‍♀️ So what did I do instead? I did five circuits at 40 seconds each, and that ends up being the same amount of time per move (actually more) as three circuits of 60 seconds. Does that make sense? That’s a lot of math for this early in the morning. I guess what I’m saying is don’t feel like you are alone or that it is not effective if you are modifying something. 😘🖤🖤

Not only is it hard to take a picture behind you and find a way to center yourself in the shot without actually being able to see it, but let’s face it —> there’s not much with angles with a back picture. What you see is what you get. If there is a way to play with angles I don’t know it. 🤷🏼‍♀️ But the only thing better than the front of this top is the back, and the only thing better than the front or the back was the price —> $5 🙌🏼. For all you midwesterners, we recently had a store open next to us called @fivebelow and as the name suggests everything is five bucks or less. We find it a better place to treat our kids than the dollar store because it’s better quality. For all the new year resolutions out there they have stocked our local store with fitness clothes and accessories ...... ALL FIVE DOLLARS. Back pictures are H A R D!!! Not only is it hard to take a picture behind you and find a way to center yourself in the shot without actually being able to see it, but let’s face it —> there’s not much with angles with a back picture. What you see is what you get. If there is a way to play with angles I don’t know it. 🤷🏼‍♀️ But the only thing better than the front of this top is the back, and the only thing better than the front or the back was the price —> $5 🙌🏼. For all you midwesterners, we recently had a store open next to us called @fivebelow and as the name suggests everything is five bucks or less. We find it a better place to treat our kids than the dollar store because it’s better quality. For all the new year resolutions out there they have stocked our local store with fitness clothes and accessories ...... ALL FIVE DOLLARS. Day one of #bbgweek1 , round three and a bit 😂 It’s apparently my thing to do the full 12 weeks in the spring, then holiday with the kids, get back on track come September, then life happens and in Jan/Feb I find myself back to square one. Left pic: July -17 after 5 months of bbg.
Right side: now after not doing much else, but walking the dog since the autumn. I haven’t put on that much weight (though my things have got chunkier again) as I’ve had to eat fairly limited diet since September, but I feel like I’ve lost aaaaalll the hard earned muscles 😩 Today’s legs&cardio was pretty intense - in the best possible way! i made this thick, creamy smoothie yesterday with frozen blueberries, mango, almond butter, maca powder & coconut-almond milk (&& a secret ingredient 😜) as a quick little pick-me-up while bebe was keeping herself occupied in her jumper (swipe -->). 👶🏻💕 it was actually that beautiful purple color. 💜 AND would you believe me if i told you that it had a whole cup of CAULIFLOWER in it?! AND it was delicious!! honestly, it was so good. i need to make it again. 😋 have you ever tried adding cauli to a smoothie!? any other veggies you like to "hide" in your smoothie??

Quick easy lunch today - jacket potato with tuna and salad. In my tuna I put 1tbsp lighter than light mayo and a couple of tbsp of fat free greek yogurt, chopped red onion, sweetcorn and salt & pepper. Dressed the salad with a little balsamic vinegar 👌 0.5syns for mayo and the rest free and speed!

In the winter time I have a really hard time remembering to drink water. I'm rarely thirsty and mostly just want hot cups of coffee and tea ☕☕☕☕

I found two simple things that help me to drink more water in the winter time:
1. I fill up a bunch of glass water bottles and put them all around the house so I remember to take a sip here and there as I go throughout my day. 
2. I let the water come to room temperature which helps me drink a ton more {this one's not for everyone but it does help me 😊}
So go drink that H2O‼️‼️🍶

Behind make up, beauty routines, camera filters, weird poses 🤣... there are lots of #FACEIMPERFECTIONS  that we change or hide to appear different for approval from others. 
I'm allergic to "weather changes", to some creams, shampoo, etc.. even during periods of stress my skin becomes dry. 
For the last 2 months I haven't worn make up, only on special nights out and my skin is much better 😗. I have been using something else to help hydrate my skin: ARGAN oil and Jojoba oil and it is the best of the best. 
Natural oils work better than all the processed and manufactured cosmetics I have tried, and even the non vegan cosmetics I used to use. Even my eyelashes are stronger and longer than before 👀 (I'm wearing mascara in the photo). I want to show the difference between the first two photos: ➖1st is retouched with light, filters, around my eyes and a bit of my skin.
➖2nd is with a filter. 
and the last time I show you my allergy 😁. So girls don't be ashamed to go out without make up, or to show your "imperfections" because they are part of us, and once your accept them, you will feel pretty and #beautifulinsideandout
