For once my eyes have a full view,
Nothing in focus ,but this infinite blue.
The ocean seems loud and high,
That one sleek line of the horizon ,
separates it from the sky.
The heavens are bathed in a velvety purple hue,
Which is now giving way to a Prussian blue.
Had just bid farewell to the sun,
And now the moon is up on the horizon.
The waves sing and dance,
And invite me to give it a chance.
I feel the earth sink beneath me,
the grainy sand make my feet tickle,
I gaze up and witness the stars twinkle.
The honks of the steamers pull me out of the trance,
How i want to swim in this vast expance.
The shimmer in the sand catches my eye,
I hold the earth and watch the gold fly by.
The footprints i leave register my visit,
The waves rise and do their business of keeping it a secret.
