Supash’s parents were shocked and devastated when he was diagnosed with a chronic #liverdisease at birth. Children with this condition typically do not live beyond their third birthday. As none of his family members were found to be suitable donors, Supash’s father resorted to search for an unrelated donor. Supash successfully received an altruistic living donor #livertransplant in 2015, the year he turned four. Now, Supash is an active and cheerful boy who enjoys dancing, singing and being with his friends.

We can hardly believe that Mimosa is still looking for a home! This cute tortie has been in foster care for eight months, ever since her kittens were born at the end of January. She was an excellent mom, and now that they have all been adopted and grown up, she deserves her happy ending as well... <3 Mimosa loves to give kisses, and greets you with the cutest squeaky little meow. She is also very clever... she will hide behind the furniture, wiggle her rump, and leap out at her toys! She has so much love to give to the lucky person meant for her.
Meet Mimosa at the Petco on Staples Mill SATURDAY! Adoption hours are 11 am - 3 pm... or you may contact us to arrange an alternate appointment! #ADOPTME#petco#adoptionevent

The Greater Athlone Volunteer Group responding to the Myanmar crisis!
On Monday 2nd October Enayatullah Hamza, representative of the GAVG, handed over a cheque of R55000 to Yusuf Mohamed and Ashraf Kenny towards the Myanmar crisis.
The GREATHER ATHLONE VOLUNTEER GROUP (GAVG) was established in 2013 with the aim of assisting communities that are poor, needy and vulnerable in the greater Cape Town region. The GAVG, based in Cape Town, South Africa, is comprised of professionals (medical doctors. accountants, engineers) small community based businesses that have established an informal association to support those in need.
Learning of the dire plight of the Myanmar people, the group responded to Islamic Relief’s call for emergency assistance to provide the people of Myanmar with shelter and food.
