You asked, we listened......issa trap yoga vibe!!! Join us on Saturday, September 30th to work up a sweat in a power yoga class while listening to throwback and current trap music. We are not using the edited versions of songs so this is an 18+ event (y'all know trap music is not safe for the kids...). If you have a request for a song you want to hear, please leave it in the comments below. Grab a friend, a water bottle and a towel and come stretch it out with us. Current students can use any of their class passes, and new students can purchase either a drop-on class or take advantage of our new student special. Day 9 #hy30days is eagle pose. Eagle pose is one of the few poses in the asana practice where both legs have an internal rotation of the thighs which gives the outer hips a yummy stretch. I came across this on the beautiful @momentaryhappiness page and felt the urge to share ❤️🙌 This is something that resonates with me SO much... There was a time in my life I was surrounded by lots of people and I was convinced I was happy. I defined my happiness based on the amount of names on my invite list. I thought having more numbers in my phone than the person next to me meant I'd "made it".... Unfortunately, what I hadn't yet realised was that I was anxious, miserable and had completely lost myself among the crowd. Funnily enough, It was this account that actually helped me out of that... As I started sharing the most vulnerable parts of myself and continued to grow through my yoga practice I began to find myself again and reassess those around me.
It's ALWAYS hard ending any type of relationship and even harder letting go of an identity that's no longer yours.. However, I have learned that having a solid support unit around you (whether that's 2 or 10 people!) who are genuinely there because they love you and want the best for you is is absolutely priceless. That should be a non-negotiable for all of us... because at the end of the day we're worth it and we deserve only the best xx 💙

Ah, it happened - the first fall cold of the year has me in it's cruel claws 😭 they always come when you need them the least 😪
Anyway, I decided to try something new for the hollowback #inversion and went for this #headstand variation I had seen a couple of times on IG. I was pleasantly surprised I could hold this quite comfortably and, for my standards, got pretty deep into that bend ☺️💪🏼 my form is probably horrible but I had fun trying this out! 😄 .

Holding myself accountable and posting this, and it's not easy. As someone who has struggled with eating disorders for most of my life, seeing myself on camera with all the excess baby weight isn't easy but luckily it's not enough to send me back to where I was, thin, sick and in denial. Then again, two babies in 16 months isn't something you just snap back from so I'm learning to cut myself some slack. But a healthier and happier me is here and now I just have to show up for myself everyday and give myself the gift of the strength and flexibility that I used to have. I don't look at yoga as a dreadful exercise I have to complete anymore, I think of it as taking the time that I deserve to do something just for me after giving myself to everyone all day long. So here I am trying to follow along with a beginner video that although helpful was still a bit slow for my liking. First off LOL at this photo. It's not posed. My partner took it. I look so blissful haha! And no I'm not going to post a photo with my laundry put away because it never is. 19/30 #30daysofyoga Day 19 word is relaxed. This was the word a few days ago but it's back! I looked up synonyms for relaxed bc I wanted to be cool and not use the same word but I like it so too bad. The video today was focused on slow movements to begin with but I also think I felt relaxed because I started the day with a 7am conference call with a bunch of wonderful humans. It matters who you surround yourself with and focus on. Friends, colleagues, clients - it all matters. And no you don't always have ultimate control but OMG how nice is it when you do and you can dictate who and what gets your energy? Summary- it's f*cking brilliant. More of that in my life please. .
If anyone has ever had a conversation with me about fitness you will know that I do not like yoga. I like running, weights, occasional boxing - dare I say I even like doing burpees. I've done yoga (yes including the class you are going to say is AMAZING) I am not a fan and I'm about doing what Feels good and I'm like EVERYONE STOP TELLING ME TO TO YOGA. but wait for it... I'm giving in. .
Following a whim, I'm going to do a #30dayyogachallenge . I'm getting message from my body right now that is telling me to slow down. I'm going to listen. I'm going to be doing a yoga video everyday and following a preset video stream. #namastebitches Kim hates yoga. Kim does yoga. ahhhh!!! 30 days in september = 30 days of yoga.

Found a nice spot in the park to prepare for my class this morning. Little did I know it was the calm before the frenzy that was 27 students ranging from 18-65 yrs old, a microphone, a stage, no props and no idea where the switches were for the fans and air conditioning. Sheesh! Gotta love subbing in a foreign space. 😅 Just gotta breathe and deal with whatever your day throws at you!
