How do you start your Mondays? My friend @heather.haycock just recently told me about this exercise that I have now added to my Monday routine. You write down all of your doubts. Anything that is holding you back, restricting you and/or creating fear in your life. Then you go back through and write down an affirmation for each doubt. Once you write the affirmation, cross out the doubt. Notice the change in your mindset almost instantly after completing this exercise. Read the affirmations/intentions out loud in the morning and at night for the entire week, until it is time to write down your new doubts/affirmations. I absolutely love this exercise. Be intentional with your energy and your thoughts and create the life you want. 🖤 #powerofthemind#positivevibes#beintentional
#BeInspired Mondays with IK: Relax, You ain't Indispensable“How come it’s still 9.25?” Femi quipped after looking at his wristwatch the 8th time in one minute. Ola’s wedding was in one hour, thirty-five minutes and he was one of the groomsmen. The wedding was in Ibadan, but Femi was still in Lagos, stuck in traffic around Palmgroove bus stop.
He’d left the house in Surulere an hour and 30 minutes before, hoping to get to Ibadan in record time for his childhood friend’s wedding ceremony. He had only stopped at the laundry man’s place to pick Ola’s tuxedos, and then at Ojuelegba after a tricycle driver brushed the side of his vehicle, trying to evade police officers who were running towards him.
Ola, who had decided to lose a little weight before his wedding, had decided to get his tuxedo one week to the wedding. He didn’t want to be in a situation where he’d have to make adjustments. Sadly, on getting to the designer’s office, his size was no longer available for the colours his wife-to-be had chosen for him. The designer told him a bigger size was available, and would require a little adjustment and all would be well.
At the time, he knew his nonchalance and perfectionism had gotten him in this puddle. He wasn’t bothered about wedding outfit and didn’t want to be bothered about having to adjust the tuxedo because he had lost a little weight. He just wanted to get the perfect outfit a week to the D-day. Alas, life happened.
The following days saw Ola go about his daily life and other wedding plans until Thursday while packing for Ibadan. “Shet! I forgot to meet this designer guy sef,” he said as he picked up his phone to make a call to the designer. “Uche, ehn ehn. How are you? This is Femi. See ehn, I totally forgot about that my wedding outfit oh. I’m coming to your place now to collect it.” *** Read @iknwosu's full story on www.bellanaija.com/features #features#beinspired#monday#iknwosu
“What is the most important calling in the Church? It is the one you currently have. No matter how humble or prominent it may seem to be, the calling you have right now is the one that will allow you not only to lift others but also to become the man of God you were created to be.
My dear friends and brethren in the priesthood, lift where you stand!” - Pres. Dieter F. Uchtdorf ("The Greatest among You" April 2017 LDS General Priesthood Session). #beinspired#dailyinspiration#onedayatatime#sharegoodness#ldspersonalprogress#lds_quotables @lds_quotables #ldsconf

"In the eyes of God, there is no calling in the kingdom that is more important than another. Our service--whether great or small--refines our spirits, opens the windows of heaven, and releases God’s blessings not only upon those we serve but upon us as well. When we reach out to others, we can know with humble confidence that God acknowledges our service with approval and approbation. He smiles upon us as we offer these heartfelt acts of compassion, especially acts that are unseen and unnoticed by others. Each time we give of ourselves to others, we take a step closer to becoming good and true disciples of the One who gave His all for us: our Savior . . . one kind of service is not above another.” - Pres. Dieter F. Uchtdorf ("The Greatest among You" April 2017 LDS General Priesthood Session). #beinspired#dailyinspiration#onedayatatime#sharegoodness#ldspersonalprogress#lds_quotables @lds_quotables #ldsconf

☀Hello & Good Morning Everyone on National Daughter Day, Monday, September 25, 2017.
📷Some folks posted pics yesterday to celebrate the beauty of having a Daughter or Daughters.
👧👧However, according to: "What National Day it is" today is THAT DAY Although in some other countries & cultures it's Oct 1, 2017.
👧👧My girls are 3 years apart. But they act like twins sometimes. They have their own SECRET SISTER CODE. Their own SISTER LANGUAGE & Their SISTER BOND IS IRON CLAD. A FORTRESS.
👧👩👧What is so wonderful about both Daughters is each one has a part of my personality which fascinates me how that worked out. Lol.
👧The younger one is a voracious reader & loves to dance (Ballet trained)...LIKE ME. Lol.
👧The older (First Born) loves sports & is creative... LIKE ME. Lol.
🌐Raising them was challenging of course; they were teens at the same damn time, but super fun & so exciting especially when we lived in Europe.
📚The younger Daughter loved Germany & she embraced the language & cultute (reading many books about Germany, the Holocaust & Hitler's Regime seeking a deep knowledge about a country with an incredible global history) like a champ. Fearless & Feisty.
🎶The older Daughter loved Germany too & she also embraced the language & culture (discovering German brand hair products & Techno music (her passion for DJs originated in Munich) like an explorer. Spiritual & Serene.
🌎They live on the east coast where I raised them after we left Europe and miss them every second of the day. Although I pretty much talk to & video chat with the older (First Born) nearly daily.
👧👧DAUGHTERS ARE AWESOME!
THIS. RIGHT. HERE. is how Erica made me feel this Monday morning. She inspired me! She gave me the boost and confidence I needed. I am always starving for more in life. She reminded me of all my current positives and the potentials that will come from it. Erica brought me back down to earth. Sometimes, we all need that friendly reminder of how great we already are. We are always trying to change and better ourselves. But never accepting who we currently are at this moment. Did you know you are okay the way You ARE? Accept yourself. You are okay 🙂 Who inspires you? Tag someone who is a magical unicorn 🦄💕 •

I haven't fully felt like myself since my car accident so I decided to take charge and change that. I'm breaking down my walls that are holding me back and going to set goals/intentions each week. I feel off set when I'm not in a routine and since my car accident I haven't been able to fully get back on a good routine so It's time for momma to make a change. I'm going to post and record videos so y'all can hold me accountable and I also want you to join me and post your stories and goals as well. It can be fitness related, job related or hey maybe you just want to take 5 minutes out in the day for yourself. I want to see and hear about it all ❤Cheers to the start of a new journey y'all. "That Day of Judgment will be a day of mercy and love--a day when broken hearts are healed, when tears of grief are replaced with tears of gratitude, when all will be made right. Yes, there will be deep sorrow because of sin. Yes, there will be regrets and even anguish because of our mistakes, our foolishness, and our stubbornness that caused us to miss opportunities for a much greater future. But I have confidence that we will not only be satisfied with the judgment of God; we will also be astonished and overwhelmed by His infinite grace, mercy, generosity, and love for us, His children. If our desires and works are good, if we have faith in a living God, then we can look forward to what Moroni called ‘the pleasing bar of the great Jehovah, the Eternal Judge.’” - Pres. Dieter F. Uchtdorf ("O How Great the Plan of Our God!" October 2016 LDS General Conference). #beinspired#dailyinspiration#onedayatatime#sharegoodness#ldspersonalprogress#lds_quotables @lds_quotables #ldsconf

"As you are growing older, young women, the path is becoming steeper, and you may want to give up. Life is more challenging, filled with decisions and temptations at every turn. Satan will blow winds of confusion that may cause you to question if this is the path you want to take. You may be tempted to try another route, even when signs of danger are posted. You may doubt your abilities, and you may wonder as one young woman did, ‘Is it really possible to remain virtuous in today’s world?’ The answer, my young friends, is ‘Yes!’ And my counsel to you is similar to that given by Winston Churchill during World War II: never, never, never give up! (see ‘Never Give In’ [speech, Harrow School, London, England, Oct. 29, 1941]). This will take great courage, but you have His plan! What will help you follow the plan and be a valiant and virtuous daughter of God? First, gain a strong testimony, step by step. Second, seek the help of Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ, your family, and others who will support you in your decision to follow the plan. And finally, live to be worthy of the companionship of the Holy Ghost." - Sis. Mary N. Cook ("Never, Never, Never Give Up" April 2010 LDS General Young Women Meeting). #beinspired#dailyinspiration#onedayatatime#sharegoodness#ldspersonalprogress#lds_quotables @lds_quotables #ldsconf
I've been wanting to try this Thai place forever, and it did not disappoint. Spicy noodles . 🌶 Gluten free, vegan, delicious! The whole family enjoyed their dish...even my 10 year old. Now, that's a win!
