Took a morning walk on the outskirts of Berlin Tempelhof - an abandoned 1920s airport and airfield turned into a city park. You can wander and bike across the airfield where you'll find urban gardens. Or explore parts of the old airport(some parts housing a large refugee community). It's a park unlike any in the world.

The Holocaust Memorial on the outskirts of Tiergarten Park holds over 2,000 giant concrete blocks to memorialize 3 million Jewish lives. It's an eerie maze you can get lost in just before entering one of Berlin's most beautiful parks. I love the juxtaposition of this city.

Berlin is an incredible city - every building and monument is wildly different and unique. This is "der hohle Zahn" or the hollow tooth - a church that was damaged by an air raid during WWII. It's left standing as a monument. It's also standing at the site where the Christmas Market attacks in 2016 happened - you can see candles and flowers scattered in front of the church for the victims.
