As I sit and reflect on the beautiful life of this woman I think back on all the things that she saw on her 103 years from going to the moon to many presidents between but most of all I think about how she was raised. Today has been one of those super hard mommin’ days. Everything was wrong. Little munchkin only wanted to be held. Lots of fits. Lots of tears all around. Finally got him down for a little nap and got in a little cardio kickboxing and felt so much better. The past few days I started to feel myself falling off track. •
My sciatica started acting up again for the first time in a while and for a couple days I was in too much pain to be a functional human being... It SUCKED
I used to feel like this 2 or 3 weeks out of the month, but since I've gotten into good habits and gotten stronger, these episodes have become less and less frequent. On top of that, they last a much shorter period of time, which is great and all but I'm still so sick of being in pain all the freaking time.
And on top of that, I started eating like CRAP again and craving all sorts of crappy food which would then make me feel like... you guessed it ... Crap. 💩 •
I know me. I know my history. Every time I get hurt, I get set WAY back... Especially with my diet... and frankly, I'm NOT up for it. NO WAY. I've been doing too well to get set back again now.
So for the next 3 days, I'm going to do a mini cleanse to get myself out of this mini rut before I dig myself deeper in. ⭐High Protein

So I'm sitting here drinking a coffee about to do my second workout of the day as it's double workout week for the final week of my challenge and I was just thinking back to how different I was as a person two years ago! If you are someone that knows me now and you didn't know me back then, just know that the first picture, that was my life. I was nearly 16 stone, miserable and I had no motivation to do anything about it. So many people have reached out to me lately and told me that I've inspired them and that literally means the world to me. So if I can do anything for you today, just know that I was the queen of chocolate and cake and those gorgeous cookies from LIDL and you know what? in my heart, I still am that girl and that's why I think it's so important to still have those days where I treat myself BUT you can have a healthy lifestyle AND still have those days once in a while! MYTH. I’m glad I’ve never been afraid to “lift heavy and look manly” because the picture on the right were my “manly” results. 💁🏻♀️
About 4months difference between these two pictures. I never focused/stressed on losing weight. I started doing Keto and got in the gym consistently. Lifting heavy was fun to me and before I knew it my focus was to get stronger, NOT to lose weight. With the combination of following my diet and lifting heavy most days+some (but not much) cardio... these were the results. Lifting heavy gave me a more toned look (IMO) which is what most women say they want when they first get into going to the gym. You WILL lose weight and gain muscle at the same time. I guess my point is... don’t just go to the gym to get on treadmill. PICK UP THE DUMBBELLS AND SQUAT THOSE PLATES! #pushweight

I studied to be a lawyer. I wanted to be a killer, attack dog, pitbull, shark lawyer. I wanted loads of money and the Hugo Boss and Armani suits and the Jaguar to go with it. I thought I’d be a litigator.. we think we are soo tough and so cool! But the reality is we are just KIDS when they make us decide all these things like what we want to be, what work we want to do, what do we want from life....
At this time in my life, 10 years after I finished matric, I could honestly say that I would be surprised if a 30 year old knew the answers to all those questions! I look at my life now and I don’t see an inch or ounce of litigator in me. I can’t be that attack dog, shark attorney. I CAN be an attorney.... but definitely not what I had in mind when I graduated. We know NOTHING. NOTHING about real life. We just look at books for 21 or 22 years of our lives and then we think we know who we are inside when we don’t know shit!
My point is.... I am ONLY NOW finding out what I love.... what makes me crazy crazy happy inside, where I can’t stop thinking about it, excited and unable to sleep at night kind of happy! At 27 I am only now finding this out and discovering who I am... everything previous to this I think is just details. Our lives until we discover who we are are just collateral damage. Nobody cares that there are generations of kids running around with no cooking clue of what life is truly about , but what education systems, schools, religions indoctrinate you with. I hope you all get to have your journey of self discovery. Because I’m so happy right now - I could probably just die doing what I’m doing now and I’d be just okay with it. Find what you love.
