@Regranned from @this_is_bodybuilding - So, who’s ready for the San Marino Pro?!?! It’s coming up this weekend and, though he might be carb depleted right now, I believe @abdullah_84otb will be bringing @brandon__curry in even better than he was when he won the @ferrignolegacy!!! He will have competition in the form of Cedric McMillan once again and this time @essaobaid_ will be making his long awaited return as well! Also, @hadichoopan2 will be competing in this Men’s Open Bodybuilding contest. It should be a very interesting competition, but with his combination of mass, shape, symmetry and conditioning I think Brandon has to be considered the favorite going into this show!
The 2017 season is ending in very exciting fashion!

Great day today at @bevsgym! I got to see @juandieselmorel (who is looking HUGE) as well as @dieseldolls and @babyizzybella. It was great to be able to wish them all a Happy Thanksgiving face to face! Also caught a great back workout with the awesome @arash_rahbar! Ok...Arash was training back. I was watching and chatting his ear off between sets. Seriously, it was a privilege to witness the man do his thing. He’s looking absolutely massive right now and his strength level is excellent! It’s always a pleasure to spend time with the man as he’s very genuine and highly intelligent and always willing to share his knowledge.
ALSO...I had the extreme pleasure of speaking with and picking the brain of @astrongspirit Justin Miller, one of the premier trainers in the industry today! Most of you probably know Justin trains some of the best Classic Physique competitors on the planet. We talked a bit about Classic Physique, it’s future in the IFBB. Keep your eyes on Justin’s page, folks. He’s an incredible writer and I think there will be some highly thought provoking posts in the very near future popping up on his page! Give him a follow!
I did get a half decent chest workout in and witnessed my good buddy @r213510 hit a personal best in dumbbell shoulder presses! That’s a good day.
His name is Amit Roy. He won the Overall title at North Americans in Classic Physique. He gets less “press” than some in his division, but I promise you this: before the end of 2018 @bengaal_tiger will be one of the Division’s biggest stars.
At this time, please pray and send positive thoughts out to his daughter who is very ill, but getting better.
How good could Amit Roy @bengaal_tiger have been if he hadn't gotten injured 10 days out from winning Overall Classic Title at North Americans this year? Its hard to say....but one thing I know for sure is that he would've been better. How much better? You will have to attend the 2018 NY Pro to see. This was Amit in the gym 1 month out from turning pro this past summer. Will Amit become the first athlete born in India to win an IFBB Pro show? I guess we will see. Get your tickets early. Amit will put a country of 1.3 BILLION strong on his back as he attempts to make history at the NY Pro in May. Amit is one of the best under 175 lbs bodybuilders in the world. He will bring good shape along with hardcore muscle and condition to the IFBB Classic Physique Pro stage. Do not sleep on Amit. He's going to be a very dangerous Classic competitor. #IFBB#ClassicPhysique#BevsGym#NYPro
P.s. on a separate note Amit's daughter Mikayla got the help she needed and while she is still sick with Dengue Fever is doing better and is on the road to recovery.
Here are a couple of amazing photos taken by the talented @charleslowthian of the Conqueror @william_bonac! These shots were taken a few days before the 2017 @mrolympiallc. William went on to finish 3rd in a show I personally thought he was clearly in 2nd place. Of course he went on to place 2nd at the @arnoldclassiceurope a week later in a show he seemed to clearly win. I say things like this and people interpret it as either I hate @big_ramy or I’m playing favorites to William. No. Neither. I have seen Mamdouh compete live and up close on many occasions now. He’s amazing! In my opinion he’s one of the best mass monsters of all time! He’s a very nice man and he represents the sport of Bodybuilding and the IFBB with tremendous integrity.
I just happen to think William was better than Ramy this year. William was better conditioned with much better separation and definition. His physique is better balanced top to bottom and flows much more aesthetically. When it comes to the various aspects used in evaluating a physique such as Size, Shape, Symmetry, Proportion, Balance, Flow, Conditioning and Presentation to my eyes and mind William gets more checks in his column.
We’ve watched the meteoric rise of William in the Olympia ranks throughout the years. He was 15th in 2014, 8th in 2015, 5th in 2016 and 3rd in 2017. I don’t see him staying stagnant. I believe he will be @philheath’s number one contender in 2018.
It is my greatest hope, as a true fan of the sport, that we get to see the two best Bodybuilders on the planet go one on one in a 2 man callout next year. That would be absolutely epic!
This is @mrmanuelromero at this weekend’s @ferrignolegacy. He was placed a solid 3rd after Prejudging, but somehow slipped to 5th after Finals. I think this was his best look to date! Personally, I would have had him in 4th behind @brandon__curry, Cedric McMillan and @theebostonmass. His only weakness, which I’m sure he is aware of and working on, is chest thickness. Everything else is excellent. And as big as he is, his midsection is very nice! This show actually featured a Top 5 with excellent midsections...very refreshing to see.
I’m a big fan of Manuel’s and I’m sure he will find his way to the Olympia stage this year.

I had a particularly fun Friday night where I *might* have forgotten my own grey rock advice with the ex and bitten back. Could have been worse, I only told him to stop being an arse but trust that he will dine out on this one for YEARS. ABSOLUTE YEARS.
In fact I was told in our communication book that came back on Sunday I had 'sworn and shouted' at him. Not quite my recollection of the event. If only he knew what I was seriously thinking when I said arse he may have actually been impressed with my ability to control myself...
Despite everything he put me through, everything he did and continues to do, I rarely react with anything other than a smile and pure politeness. I know that is best for E and that she should be able to make her own mind up on the kind of person her father is without my opinion on him clouding that. It is so hard trying to co-parent with someone that seems intent on making my life hell, refuses to communicate in an adult way and continually plays the victim.
Back to grey rock I go... Inside voice, inside voice...
As we go into Thanksgiving week, I highly encourage each and everyone of you to be extremely generous with your words, time, peace, understanding, money and your love.
Use this week to rekindle that flame of love, and keep it aflame everyday thereafter. Make peace with those who you’re at strife with, whether it was your fault or not. Keep in mind those who hurt you are already living a world of pain, why not be the antidote to their pain. I know that’s difficult to do. Being the bigger person really does require you to have a big heart. Put a stop to the pain, love in abundance. And if they don’t want to rekindle, well at least you planted the seed, continue watering it with prayer everyday. Life is too short, forgive and love, today!
Joyous new week to all! #thanksgiving#givethanks#thankyou#giving#prayer#compassion#love#grace#loveconquersall#God#christian#forgiveness#forgive#understanding#EmmanuelQuesada#lifecoach#howtoforgive#bethebiggerperson
This is the majestic Cedric McMillan at the 2017 @ferrignolegacy. He turned in a very nice performance and was a touch more conditioned than at the Olympia and perhaps on par (conditioning wise) with his Arnold Classic win, though seemingly slightly down in size from that show. As always he was extremely aesthetic and posed very well. He hits very nice poses...snapshots that look great...though his routines typically lack energy, that certain PUNCH that would take them to the next level. Had his conditioning been sharper at Prejudging he would have seriously pushed the Champion Brandon Curry. As it was he gave a strong yet clearly 2nd place performance. Cedric can usually win shows of this caliber based on his aesthetics alone. Unfortunately for him he was facing a man who is at least as aesthetically pleasing as him in the Champion. Having known who his competition was, I was surprised Cedric didn’t break from his stated desired look and instead push the conditioning for once. I suppose one can say they admire his “sticking to his guns”...or, perhaps he simply needs to learn to control his stress/cortisol levels on contest days. I tend to lean towards the latter. Maybe one day we shall see him live up to the potential which so many of us see within him. I predicted a future Mr. Olympia after witnessing his 2012 @bevsgym New York Pro win. I have learned since that time that there is so much more to this sport than PHYSICAL genetic gifts.

Huge congratulations to the 2017 @ferrignolegacy Champion @brandon__curry! What an amazing achievement! This man possesses one of, if not the, most aesthetically pleasing physique in the IFBB today in my humble opinion and it’s great to see him being given the recognition he so rightfully deserves. He’s now qualified for the 2018 @mrolympiallc and I believe he and @abdullah_84otb will have plenty of time to make even more impressive improvements than they already have to ensure Brandon finds his way into the coveted Olympia Top 5. I certainly believe they will achieve it!

I have been a fan of @davidpaterik_ifbbpro’s physique for quite some time, and I think his choice to now compete in Classic Physique is a very smart one and may prove to be very advantageous at this weekend’s @ferrignolegacy Classic Physique Championship! I am Predicting a Top 4 finish for David, and would not be surprised with any of those placings! His conditioning has been amazing for sometime now, and his physique flows very well. And that vacuum is 💯 % on point! Seriously, no weakness here. I have no doubt that David will be a top player in Classic Physique here and for quite some time to come!
The great @theofficiallouferrigno as the Mighty Hercules and (swipe) the Incredible Hulk!!!
One of the all time great Bodybuilders, Lou has become one of the sport’s great promoters along with @louferrignojr and @chrisminnes. This weekend the 4th annual event is going down! Who will join @ronny_rockel (2014), @josh_lenartowicz (2015) and @nathandeasha (2016) in the history books as Ferrigno Legacy Bodybuilding Champion and earn his qualification to the 2018 Olympia? We will know soon enough!
Stay tuned this weekend as I will be doing recaps and posts on the winners and Top placers!
The first ever NPC Nationals Heavyweight and Overall Champion in 1982 was a young man from South Carolina. He went on to become the absolute greatest Bodybuilder on the planet, winning the title of Mr. Olympia eight consecutive years (1984-1991). What will the 2017 Nationals bring us, and could they possibly rival the greatness that is @lee_haney_official? Time will tell!
Best of luck to all today!
