Today my patient handed me this homemade painting and said "kindness can transform someone's darkest moments with the brightest light, and you've done just that." Moments like this make me realize why I love doing what I do 😀💕♿️ #occupationaltherapy#bethechange#kindnesscuresall
How about helping an older relative with their Christmas tree, or donating one to a shelter. Making someone’s day a little bit more festive. 🎄Don’t forget to swipe to see her in action 😊
Today is my birthday and I really hope you will help me find out what @cornellvet and Cornell Feline Health Center really did with Rhoda Hogan's $125,000 bequest that they were awarded in 2008. 🙀
Mrs Hogan wanted it to go to help end declawing.👍🏻
I will let you decide if Cornell honored this poor woman's wishes. 😾
The best birthday present you could give me is to sign and share my petition that’s on the link on my Instagram bio.
Mrs Hogan is turning over in her grave about this and I'm the only one helping her.😿💔
The full story about Mrs Hogan's generous bequest is on the petition. My mom and I worked on the story for months to try to get some answers from Cornell, the NH courts, and Mrs Hogan’s lawyer. #coverup#pleasehelp
Let's get 10,000 signatures by the end of this year! #makeadifference#voiceforthevoiceless#pawsneedclaws#goodcause#cornellvet#cornell#newyork#ny
There is something about this land and the people that makes me feel at home. No matter what time of day, no matter what season it is, the doors and hearts of the people here are always open. There is a kindness that Crow radiates which is felt deep within me. I am drawn to this place like a magnet. My good friend Tronnes is no exception and always has a revolving door of people and animals alike at his house. Yet, he always takes the time to make every single individual feel special. He operates on a schedule of presentness, uneffected by time, making you feel as though he is there to teach you and you alone. He has the patience of a saint, especially when it comes to a novice like myself. There is always some crazy horse that he, or Trampus, is riding. This day was no different haha. We trotted to "The Oasis" before heading out to the open fields. The snow capped mountains watched us in the distance. The dogs ran free; as did we. It was a good day.
@Regranned from @paulnicklen - My entire @Sea_Legacy team was pushing through their tears and emotions while documenting this dying polar bear. It’s a soul-crushing scene that still haunts me, but I know we need to share both the beautiful and the heartbreaking if we are going to break down the walls of apathy. This is what starvation looks like. The muscles atrophy. No energy. It’s a slow, painful death. When scientists say polar bears will be extinct in the next 100 years, I think of the global population of 25,000 bears dying in this manner. There is no band aid solution. There was no saving this individual bear. People think that we can put platforms in the ocean or we can feed the odd starving bear. The simple truth is this—if the Earth continues to warm, we will lose bears and entire polar ecosystems. This large male bear was not old, and he certainly died within hours or days of this moment. But there are solutions. We must reduce our carbon footprint, eat the right food, stop cutting down our forests, and begin putting the Earth—our home—first. Please join us at @sea_legacy as we search for and implement solutions for the oceans and the animals that rely on them—including us humans. Thank you your support in keeping my @sea_legacy team in the field. With @CristinaMittermeier #turningthetide with @Sea_Legacy #bethechange#nature#naturelovers

2 weeks left! .
I am pushing two weeks left of my dress campaign! I am almost there thanks to you! I am going to push hard for donations, can collecting, or clothing donations! I will still take them when I’m done, but I want to finish strong! .
Even what you think is the simplest way of bringing something to light can be used to change just one person’s world. ❌ #enditmovement#onedressoneyear#bethechange#littleblackdresschallenge .
Thanks @the__hailstorm for being my photographer 😘
TO PROTECT AND LOVE!
We have an opportunity to do right by the generation of human beings and animals alike. If I could save them all I would but honestly I’d probably be in attack mode on his behind while protecting them 😆. Be the one sharing love with compassion and spreading awareness. Let’s protect them all and educate as many as possible with compassion.

Thank you to our selfless Year 11 student volunteers from Pymble and Shore, who participated in our annual Sony Camp for children with special needs. Held on campus at Pymble, the four-day camp provided a fun and safe time away from home to allow the families of our campers much-needed respite in the lead up to #Christmas . Supported by a team of volunteer staff, nurses and doctors, students took on roles such as companions of campers, activity co-ordinators, scrapbookers and media team members to provide wonderful opportunities for campers. Watch this space for more photos of this life-enhancing initiative. #PymbleSeniorSchool#PymbleUpperSchool#SonyCamp#SHORE#Volunteer#MakeADifference#BeTheChange
Jason and I are so grateful for everything we have in this life.
Spent a little time yesterday giving back to others that need it.
Thanks Meals for Hope for the opportunity to volunteer. @mealsofhope
The holidays are a time to show gratitude for all you have but also be of service to those that have less.
"Sometimes, my dear sisters, you feel inadequate and ineffective because you can't do all that you feel you should. Rather than continually dwelling on what still needs to be done, pause occasionally and reflect on all that you do and have done. It is most significant. The good you have done, the kind words you have spoken, the love you have shown to others, can never be fully measured." Thomas S Monson.
During this time of year there are so many great things we can do and be a part of, traditions to continue, service to give. I think we can get caught up in saying yes so much that our to do list just seems never ending, and at times like we just can't measure up. That darn Mom guilt seems to spread on thick over our hearts. Well, here's just a little reminder to take a quiet minute and think about all the good you do, the love you give, the kindness and service you render- you are enough. I snapped this image a few weeks ago while taking a quiet moment for myself, when I do this I always come away rejuvenated, realizing I am enough, and I am doing good with my little family, and that's all I really need to do. What is something you like to do just for you, that you come away feeling rejuvenated? #seethehappy

#14daysofgiving Day 6: Donation to a cause close to your heart. As I lay here in bed feeling like crap thanks to stupid endometriosis, my giving for the day was very clear. Most days I'm not symptomatic, but right before and/or after my injections can be rough. My tattoo on my leg has a yellow bow tied with yellow ribbon around the stem of my rainbow rose to symbolize seeing the beauty and hope in the world despite one of the things that has the power to bring me down. Today I see love and family despite this crap. The proceeds from the sweatshirt in the picture go to The Endometriosis Foundation of America and I'll continue to find my love for life even on my most painful days.
