I am on a mission to make small changes to my lifestyle to be healthier--to feel and look fantastic. I don't want to be on a DIET. I just want to make sustainable changes. One thing I have on occasion is kombucha.
Kombucha has been around a while and yet there are still people who don't know what it is or its health benefits. I often drink some after a week of unhealthy eating or if my body feels like it's in a funk.
Kombucha is a fermented beverage made of black tea and sugar. It is fermented by bacteria and yeast commonly known as a “SCOBY” (symbiotic colony of bacteria and yeast). Some of the more well-known health benefits include detoxification, aide in digestion and a boost of energy.
Thankfully you don't have to brew it up yourself in order to enjoy these benefits! Pretty much any grocery store carries it now due to its popularity. Today I am trying #fredmeyer#simpletruth raspberry hibiscus kombucha. Mmmm...
Acai bowls are a regular thing for me. It seems fancy and acai has probably been over-hyped BUT when my husband is away on a business trip and I am trying to eat healthy and make something my toddler will eat too, it's a WIN!
My go-to acai smoothie has a huge heap of spinach, a fresh banana, frozen blueberries, frozen pineapple, frozen acai puree, and orange juice. I top mine with tons of pumpkin flax granola from #traderjoes , chia seeds and any fresh berries I have on hand. I give my toddler his in a lidded cup. (One pro-tip is to blend up your spinach with the orange juice first until it emulsifies before adding everything else! This keeps spinach chunks from creeping up on you 😝)
Can I just say that anxiety SUCKS?!! I woke up at 6:30 this morning completely consumed with anxiety. I leave for NOLA in less than 3 weeks.. Will Dave remember to feed the cats?
How will I handle being away from him and our home?
Will I get enough sleep with the jam packed schedule I have for those 4 days?
Ohhh, what about that time when I was 18 and this happened.... Crippled.
Our minds are so crazy sometimes! It takes a lot of practice to realize when this snowball effect happens and how to take control of the situation. I kept telling myself to control the controllable!

I am in control of my schedule.
I can text a reminder to Dave to make sure our overfed cats don't starve😂
And leaving for 4 days...it's a requirement to grow. To continue to grow within myself and to move my business and passions to new heights.

Been on a little vacation and daydreaming about the future of this cooking adventure. I don't have a clear-cut plan and I'm not even sure how things will look a month from now BUT I do know that if I work hard, things will begin to take shape.
I'm hoping to carve my path in a slightly different direction but I still want to involve food--how can this blog become something of greater value and meaning? How can my cooking better someone else's life? I don't want this to just be about food. I want to go further and deeper.
I am so super excited to use all these new products that came out at convention and share them with you all! The new Savvy Minerals makeup line is going to be amazing! The two new oils Fulfill Your Destiny and My Destiny smell sooo sooo sooo good! I've heard lots of good things about the insect repellent though we have been making our own! The baby line Seedlings I mean you can't beat chemical free baby products!! And the Shutran 3 in 1 my husband wanted to test it before we bought the bigger bottle..I'm not sure why we have the Shutran bar soap and Oh My Gosh I need to buy him the Shutran oil because it's too die for!! Oh and can't forget the new Desert Mist Diffuser! It's gorgeous and they tested it multiple times to build a diffuser that is kid proof (unless taken to the extremes) and it diffuses for 10 Hours!!!!!!!!!!!

Spending the morning prepping for the launch of something amazing and I couldn’t be more excited!
